COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Also sold as St Feuillien Spciale in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuve de Nol has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Medium dark russet brown pour with just a thin beige ring. No lace. Good mouthfeel. Light brown sugar caramels. Golden plums. Cassia. Vanillin. Milk chocolate. Mostly malty with some light spices and a touch tart. Feels pleasantly unassuming for a Christmas brew. Simple but well made.

BBE 2014. Pours a pretty clear reddish brown with a medium beige head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of spices, caramel, oxidized alcohol. Taste is of caramel, madeira, demerara, spices. Body is medium, carbonation moderate and alcohol is now pretty well integrated. Almost stereotypical belgianness. Really good!

Dark brown colored, ruby hue, small beige head. Aroma is brewing sugar, Belgian yeast, toasty, spices, loads of aniseed or mint. Taste is medium+ sweet caramel, brown sugar, toasty, lots and lots of aniseed and spices, spicy and herbal low+ bitterness, some yeast, bit of alcohol and alco warmth. Medium to full bodied, soft+ carbonation. Spiced over the top, in the end it becomes too much to finish the bottle. (Le Trappiste, Brugge)

DraftDodger (725) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 27, 2015
Copenhagen 27/12 2015. 75 cl bottle from Føtex. A lot of gold, red and a holly on the label. Pours clear dark copper brown with yellowish head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Aroma is strong. Sweet caramel, raisins and prunes with some yeast. In addition to this some sharp, tart floral notes. Pretty strong carbonation and thick palate. Taste is sugary caramel, raisins and Belgian yeast. Aftertaste is more balanced with brown sugar balanced by a tart fruityness. A nice Belgian ale with enough hints to Christmas to qualify as a seasonal.

Stærk, tyk og tung. Ikke min smag. Måske også den forkerte mad(thai) Andre juleøl er bedre... Men prøv den!
