Also sold as ’St Feuillien Spéciale’ in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

Beers of Europe. Pleasant and not overpowering Aniseed and dried fruit aroma. Deep reddy purple colour, very effervescent with a fizzy pour. Palate is semi sweet but with a dry finish, the aniseed comes back in late on, with a warmth developing in the chest. Very enjoyable.

Came recommended by an acquaintance. 2012 vintage into tulip. Dark red, sparkling, huge foamy beige head endures. Smell - sweet malts, some cherry, sharp alcohol. Body is medium, very foamy, carbonation is quite low. Taste - mostly malts, slightly metallic, some sweet cherry towards the end but it’s toned down. Quite easy drinking for a 9% beverage, though the alcohol does show up. OK but there’s just not enough flavour for me.

33 cl brown wide belgian bottle, crown cap, gift from Rune, big thanks man! Light apricot coloured tart cream on the hazy amber-brown body. Very mild scents, lots of different spices, dark dried fruits. Taste; chocolate malts, spirited hops, yeast and fruits, prunes, raisins aso, spices a lot. Well bodied, alcohol as confectionery, elegant. Chocolate ending, roasted nuts, mocca, leather, spices, crispy and the bitterness is there underneath to remind me that this is a beer, not the cognac. Very tasty.

Bottle 0.75L. Hazy, deep amber body with a huge, frothy, tan head, mostly lasting with nice lacing. Moderate-to-heavy malty (caramel) and light hoppy (orange) aroma with notes of cherries, raisins, brown sugar and some spices. Moderate-to-heavy sweet flavour with light acidity in the finish and very light bitterness. Medium-to-full body with creamy texture; soft carbonation.
