Also sold as ’St Feuillien Spéciale’ in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

This one poured a light orange with a white head. Aroma was of cardboard, oxidation, booz and some dark fruits. Flavor was similar, very caramel cardboardy, lots of booze, and not really any traditional belgian characteristics at all.

This beer is as good as taffy. A treat each season with its mellow mouth feel and seasonal pleasure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle in a Delirium Noel glass. Pours a ruby brown colour with a wonderful amount of white head. Very well carbonated and flavoursome. Dark fruits and liquorice dominate with quite a bitter finish. One of my favourite Christmas beers which I revisit every year. Exemplary.

Very, very enjoyable. Splendid carbonated Belgian yeast ale, and at that point is quite good. But flavored subtly with holiday spices, and that makes it great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 330 ml at home, into a tulip glass. ABV 9% Dark red brown colour on the body with two fingers o f thick light beige head. Okay retention, light lacing left on the glass. Aroma of spices, caramel, a bit faint ot be honest. Taste is more intense, again caramel, lots of spices and specifically anise, some herbs. Light bitterness on the aftetaste. Highly carbonated, medium thin body. Overall a good one, although I expected more.

Very spicy, anise-ish flavor and aroma. Good carbonation. Yeasty, bubblegum’ish with a licorice flavor clearly apparent on the palate. Full-bodied good belgian beer.

Beers of Europe. Pleasant and not overpowering Aniseed and dried fruit aroma. Deep reddy purple colour, very effervescent with a fizzy pour. Palate is semi sweet but with a dry finish, the aniseed comes back in late on, with a warmth developing in the chest. Very enjoyable.

mid ruby with spicy star anise/candy sugar nose. Full bodied, spicey, sweet candy sugar, gentle carbonation, fruity rich finish.

Came recommended by an acquaintance. 2012 vintage into tulip. Dark red, sparkling, huge foamy beige head endures. Smell - sweet malts, some cherry, sharp alcohol. Body is medium, very foamy, carbonation is quite low. Taste - mostly malts, slightly metallic, some sweet cherry towards the end but it’s toned down. Quite easy drinking for a 9% beverage, though the alcohol does show up. OK but there’s just not enough flavour for me.
