Also sold as ’St Feuillien Spéciale’ in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

Tap at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Poured a crystal clear reddish brown with a round bubbly head. The aroma is spicy over ripe red berry fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich fruity, dry mineral, light alcoholic bitter palate. Medium bodied with almost no carbonation.

shared by bartlebier. Sweetish nose, but layered enough: breme brulée, caramel, rum raisins. Tastes mainly of caramel with a cotton candy finish.

Bottle from a shop in Germany. Fruity smell with liqourice. Similar taste. Im not that fond of the liqourice but I reckon that others that do like it wil enjoy this beer.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy ruby body with a medium beige head that holds well. Lively carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of spices, burnt toast, stewed apple and strawberry syrup. Flavour of wood, red fruits and a hint of liquorice. Medium body with a powdery texture. Light fizz. Very easy drinking for the strength.

Aroma: Sharp spicy initially. Medium-light minty, licorice, pepper Appearance: Clear, brown body. Medium, tan head, fair retention Flavour: Rich malty, melanoidins, licorice. Medium sweetness. Medium-light bitterness. Dry, crisp finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. High carbonation Overall: Very nice, but the licorice tends to be the prominent flavour. 330 ml bottle, poured.
