Commercial Description:
This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

This bottled brew corked and caged marked 1/04 poured a large sized head of foamy of unnoted size mostly lasting light brown colored bubbles that left behind a good lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was unnoted and very dark red brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild dark malt . Its mouth feel is initially tingly vinous with a slightly tingly mellow palate and a smooth aftertaste. Its flavor contained mild malty caramel roasted notes and was nice Belgian Strong Ale flavor. Very good flavor almost yummyAn excellent beer that I would buy again.

Very light brown colored head. The body is a murky medium brown color. The aroma is tart with dark cherries. There is also ginger bread, pears and cinnamon. The taste is sweet with some rich pears, cinnamon, and a little chocolate. The finish is harsh with some old chewed bubblegum. I like the start, but not the end of each sip. Still, this is a solid beer.

Brownish red color with a thick and lasting head. Aroma is sort of funny like burned spices. Dark fruits and lots of spice in the flavor with a nice bready finish. Sparkling mouthfeel. Almost no trace of alcohol. Good stuff.

dark ruby red with a smallish head. Caramel and raisins aroma. Fruity and spicy. Sweet caramel and raisins flavours, not a lot of bitterness. Full-bodied with warming alcohol. A good winter warmer that probably gains complexity with aging.

[bottle] Pours a nice dark brown color- head is light, white and fluffy. Aroma is strong and fruity, as is the taste. This is a fine brew, a treat for christmas.

bottle. pours a brown coloured body with a small ring of off-white head and small specks of yeast floating around. the aroma is pleasing and interesting with strong fruit notes...pear and berries, specifically. quite sweet with lots of that fruit coming through in the flavour and a soft yeasty texture. mildly tart but balanced off by the sweet pears. perhaps a little bit of bitter chocolate in the finish. very good

An absolutely stunning beer. Quite sweet when you first taste it, but with several undertones of cinnamon, koriander and fruityness. It has a beautiful brown/yellow head. Recommended to drink it above 5 degrees C.

750ml bottle, 2004 vintage. Sweet, estery aroma, malty and spicy with notes of doughy, musty yeast, toffee, cinnamon, allspice, raisin and red apple skin. Hazy deep, dark red brown color, the ivory head lasting and thick with fairly spotty lace. Flavor profile is tangy, lightly citric and fruity to start, the midpoint seeing some gentle bitterness introduced and finishing with a blend of rich, sugary malts, berry-like fruit, orange, apricot, cookie, faint roastiness, spices and a slight alcohol presence. Nicely smooth palate, active yet mellow and warming, with a hint of acidity and a full body. Frighteningly easy to drink and very flavorful.
