Commercial Description:
This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

750ml bottle. Nice, big head that lasts a while. Carbonation is solid with a flavor that isn’t overwhelming for a 9% abv. Mid-brown color and a floral aroma that fulfills its promise as a tasty brew. Very enjoyable.

Sampled from wawood beer tasting. Peachy, chocolate aroma. Typical Belgian. Pretty good flavor. I like it.

I had this sitting in my fridge for roughly a year from a tasting I had last winter. I didn’t realize I hadn’t rated it. Caramel aroma with some spice, molasses and peach. Reddish brown body, murky, with an off-white head. Wonderfully well balanced. Alcohol well hidden. Pepper notes at mid glass. Very enjoyable.

Red brown colour, sweet aroma (caramel?), slightly hoppy bread taste, little spicy, toffee present, not too heavily bodied, lovely aftertaste. A pleasant winter brew. Bought at Beer Paradise/Estate Wine in Holstebro, Denmark.

This beer had a pleasant appearance. It was a very carbonated beer that tasted great. This was the first beer I tried that was corked.

Dark red-brown colour. Diminishing off white head. Aroma is caramel sweet hints of roasted. Full body, light bitter taste, little bit malty. Bitter sweet and alcoholic finish.

Tasty, warm, strong. hints of a heated rum raisin, mixed with dark bread. Pleasurable mouthfeel, not to hot on the tongue, sits nice and heavy in the cheeks.

08/03 on the cork: A hazy, light brown color with a red hue and a dense, tan head that is persistent. Aroma is heavy on milk chocolate and dark cherry. I smell no herbs or spices as suggested by the commercial description. Flavor is quite straightforward but very pleasant and shows an interesting profile. It starts very creamy and chocolatey, then acidity kicks in though mild, then the creamy chocolate along with cork kicks back in, and then a smack of bitterness breaks the palate again, then the butter, bubblegum, dark cherry, big sweetness, and chocolate lead into a velvety, lush finish. I remember this two years ago and it tasted like nothing but bubblegum and dark malt. This has improved considerably.
