Also sold as ’St Feuillien Spéciale’ in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

Donkerbruine kleur, dikke laag schuim. Aroma is zoet, fruitig. Smaakt erg zoet, met een stevige bittere nasmaak. Prima bier.

Phenolic, spicy aroma. Amber color, head is huge. Sweet. Spicy flavor is dominant. Sweet finish. Medium-full body and alcoholic character. A little bit hot. Sweet spicy Belgian ale. Too sweetness destroys total balance.

From tap @ Delirium. chestnut brown with a copper glance, brown head. Nose : anice/black candy (zwarte rek) are dominating. Taste is very much to do about spices. Body is sweet, got some slightly metallic in the finish. Overall a very wam winter beer, alcohol is delicate, but gives a very long lasting effect. Alas the beer is a bit dominated by those spices in both nose and taste, not really my thing but besides of that a nice beer (once you can get over the spcies bombing)

Espuma persistente y alta carbonatacion.

0.33 l bottle from Alko. Great head and copper brown colour. Not as dark as I expected. Taste resembles toffee with a hint of bitterness. Interesting, this is different than most of the winter or chrismas beers or ales. I’m glad this is in a small bottle, since the 9% of alcohol might be too much unless your are having a company.

33 cl, bottled. Pours ruby with a fine beige head. Aroma: Leather, veriohukainen (blood, maybe iron with malt, interesting.). Taste: Some sour notes, pleasantly bitter. Quite sweet as well as expected. Palate: Near medium body, noticeable carbonation. Quite bitter aftertaste with some sweetness. Interesting and pleasant. The body could’ve been fuller. Anyway pretty nice one.

Belle couleur ambree, mousse beige et dense. Nez malté. Gout fort de malt grillé,de fruits noirs assez doux et note d’alcool. Laisse en bouche un gout de prune sucrée; Pas mal
