Also sold as St Feuillien Spciale in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuve de Nol has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

0,33L bottle (from Wine of Galilee). Pours copper-ruby with tan head. The head stays forever. Aroma is very sweet, fruits, spices, malt. Flavor is sweet, spices, malt, fruits, plums, toffee, and some alcohol. Finish is burnt sugar bitterness with spices and some alcohol. Overall: nice brew.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli - picked up from Beermerchants. Pours clear amber with a modest, frothy khaki head. The nose holds licorice, Belgian yeast, lightly toasted bread. Medium sweet flavor with some wintery spices, more bread, light bitter leaves, berries, more licorice, plums, yeast. Full bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with notes of ripe fruits, bread, grain, faint rubber, anise. So so.

On draft at Trio in Kill Devill HIlls, NC. Pours cloudy brown with a thin ecru head. Peppermint nose. Flavors of caramel and butterscotch with herbal notes. Crisp finish.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2015 Bottle from Belgian Beer Factory. Brown reddish. Aroma of anise, liquorice, caramel malts and dark fruits. Tastes dark fruits, liquorice, spices, light booze, heavyish malts, light bitterness. Very good Christmas beer, in absolute terms could still have more depth.

Esta cerveza de Navidad tiene un color moreno y una espuma cremosa. Aroma dulce con notas de levadura, especias, hierbas, malta tostada y caramelo .Tiene un gusto poderoso. Sabor dulce y picante. Es seca al final de boca. Su volumen de alcohol es del 9 % y es refermentada en botella. Una muy buena cerveza de navidad.
