COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Also sold as ’St Feuillien Spéciale’ in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

750ml bottle. Nice, big head that lasts a while. Carbonation is solid with a flavor that isn’t overwhelming for a 9% abv. Mid-brown color and a floral aroma that fulfills its promise as a tasty brew. Very enjoyable.

Bonito color de vino rosado tirando a cereza y bastante transparente. Espuma muy consistente y cremosa. Aroma a frutas rojas y caramelo. Muy rica en la boca, con caramelo, uvas, canela, especias… Buena carbonatación y cuerpo medio. Muy bebible y agradable, pese al alcohol, que no obstante está ahí… calentando el conjunto. Muy sabrosa.

Brown beer, medium beige head. Nose is yeast and fruit, some malt notes, spice. Flavor is dried fruit, roasty notes with caramel, sweetness, dried fruit, spice notes. Can hardly detect the alcohol. Tastes pretty christmas-y. Nice.

Butelka, warka do 14-08-2016. W ustach pozostaja mocno slodkie i slabsze kwaskowato-owocowe posmaki. Goryczka - przyprawowa - dosc wysoka jak na styl. Wysycenie srednie. Alkohol dobrze ukryty. Niemalo ciala. W ustach nieco lepkie, syropowe. Bardzo dobre, bardzo zlozone, ladnie ulozone.

330ml bottle. Clear dark copper color. Massive beige-brown head, stays. Looks beautiful. Fruity, peach, slightly sour, raisins, berries, hints of white chocolate in aroma. Caramel, toffee, raisins, white chocolate, berries, touch of Belgian yeast in taste. Quite high carbonation, but it’s not disturbing. Malts and white chocolate with raisins in aftertaste. Nice brew!

Small bottle. Reddish brown body, medium off-white head. Aroma has spices and some rye bread. Dark caramelly taste with more spices and rye bread. Later a hint of plum skin. High carbonation. Finish has herbal bitterness. I’m not a big fan of herbal bitterness but otherwise it’s alright.

Leighton (13855) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2015
Bottle at home in London with Lyoli - picked up from Beermerchants. Pours clear amber with a modest, frothy khaki head. The nose holds licorice, Belgian yeast, lightly toasted bread. Medium sweet flavor with some wintery spices, more bread, light bitter leaves, berries, more licorice, plums, yeast. Full bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with notes of ripe fruits, bread, grain, faint rubber, anise. So so.
