Also sold as ’St Feuillien Spéciale’ in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2006 This is a real christmas-beer. Strong head and a magnificent golden colour. This beer is so inviting that you just need to smell and taste it. And you won´t be dissapointed. It smells and tastes just as good as it looks.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2008 Cloudy red, brown beer with a big bubbly, off-white, short lived head. Malt, orange and berries in the aroma. Has a pleasant bitterness in the flavour with a litte metallic note, and it has way too much carbonation for my taste. One year old: More pleasant carbonation? Same aroma. Fruity, toffee, spicy flavour, in excellent balance.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2008 Keg (Poirotti Eira, Helsinki) Rich ruby red. Thin light persistent head. Initially a cnadifloss sweet aroma with a sharp mint component, and a slight hint of banana too. Soft lightly carbonated, feels lovely in the mouth. Sweet malty body. Finally it clicks! The aroma has caroway in it, it’s almost like some aquavits. Classic strong Belgian beer. Rerate of (6-4-8-4-13=3.4) 330ml bottle (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Winter Ales 2004) Distinctly belgian. Brown, with a fluffy head. Flowery but rich malty aroma. Brown (brun) malty taste.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a lightly hazy garnet with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of sweet malt, spice and some fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied. Flavors of sweet malt, spice, apple andc a hint of raisin with a lingering sweet finish.

large 70cl bottle. aroma is christmas spices, orange peel, alc. appears red brown, large yellowbrown head that selttles quickly. Strong is the first word that pops up in my mind to describe this brew. sweetness, caramel, alc. chrismas spices, slight sourish orange flavor. alc is too dominant, and it feels sort of onesided. lacks finesse and depth. perhaps they sell these in different qualities, or something. i’d never rate it 3.73, it’s more like a midrange european "macro" christmas brew, than a belgian beer.(okay, belgium is in europe, but their beer is generally out of this world)

An absolutely stunning beer. Quite sweet when you first taste it, but with several undertones of cinnamon, koriander and fruityness. It has a beautiful brown/yellow head. Recommended to drink it above 5 degrees C.

Hazy dark brown ale with a thin moka head. Sweet candy malt with orange peels, coriander, cardamom, rich aroma. Rich malt in mouth, with nice classy hops, licorice, coriander, chocolate. Very rich bodied with smooth warming alcohol finish. Merci Chris. Shared with Chris, and Mike, November, 2005.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2009 Chuncks of yeast float through this beer. Dough aroma with raisin. Good lacing. Sweet flavor with raisin, dough, licorice and orange. Full bodied, alcohol well hidden. Good beer! From tap @ Café Morshuis in Albergen, december 2009: malty aroma with dried figs and some roast. medium to full bdoied. Malty, slightly roasty flavor with butter, dried fruit and a hint of cinnamon. Sticky mouthfeel but satisfyingly balanced.

Bottle at Cafe buitenlust, Oirschot. Don’t really like the smell but the taste is fine. Hazy dark brown color. Medium body, decent carbo.
