3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
750mL bottle, split 5 ways, pours a hazy orangey brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of candied sugar, licorice, mint and nutmeg. Flavour of X-mas spices (including nutmeg), licorice, slight mint and caramel malt - quite muted though. Medium carbonation with a flavour profile that dies quickly. Decent, but nothing special.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2008 Cloudy red, brown beer with a big bubbly, off-white, short lived head. Malt, orange and berries in the aroma. Has a pleasant bitterness in the flavour with a litte metallic note, and it has way too much carbonation for my taste.
One year old: More pleasant carbonation? Same aroma. Fruity, toffee, spicy flavour, in excellent balance.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2015 New rating. Bottle from BeerShoppen, Kolding. Pours lovely burgundy red with a medium, staying, yellowish head. Aroma i sweet, nuts, caramel, a slight touch of anise, some cloves. High carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, caramel in the front, a touch of raspberry, esters, anise and clove. Quite warming finish.
An absolutely stunning beer. Quite sweet when you first taste it, but with several undertones of cinnamon, koriander and fruityness. It has a beautiful brown/yellow head. Recommended to drink it above 5 degrees C.
