COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuve de Nol has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

Bottle 0.33l. Thick chestnut cloudy liquid with soft yellow foam. Full body, soft carbonation. Smell of wine, taste like fruit juice. Apricot, melon, honey. Rich and very tasty.

0.33 l bottle from Alko. Great head and copper brown colour. Not as dark as I expected. Taste resembles toffee with a hint of bitterness. Interesting, this is different than most of the winter or chrismas beers or ales. Im glad this is in a small bottle, since the 9% of alcohol might be too much unless your are having a company.

I got some fruit and a big alcohol wallop in the aroma, I thought I was going to be in for a over the top booze monster. Flavor was strong overripe fruit and alcohol, but settled down into a smooth finish. As it warmed a little, the alcohol jumped out even more, I would have figured this was at least 12% ABV. Good overall.

Piana dość obfita, średnio pęcherzykowa, sycząca ale trwała. Barwa mahoniowo rubinowa, opalizująca, spore musowanie w szkle. W aromacie karmel, przyprawy, skunks, nieprzyjemny stary chmiel i żelazo (test skrny wyraźnie to potwierdza). Niestety zawd. W smaku dość słodko, miodowo, czuć toffi, suszone owoce, kompot bożonarodzeniowy, przyprawy korzenne... Żelazo bardzo przeszkadza też w smaku. Goryczka niska, pikantna. Alkohol spory, lekko rozpuszczalnikowy. Nagazowanie wysokie, szampańskie. W odczuciu nieco lepkie.

God og behagelig julel. Tilpas med krydderier. God smag, men med en anelse for meget alkohol.

A dark amber beer with a nice beige head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, toffee notes. Taste is malty, sweet and spicy. Caramel, roasted malt and brown sugar notes. High but soft carbonation. Well balanced alcohol.

Nice winter beer. Had with James. Pours a caramel color. Aroma of roasted barely, malts, and spices. Flavor is well balanced with the roastiness and the spices combined to make an enjoyable winter brew.

Pours a muddy, murky brown with a touch of orange highlights. Produces a thick, dense beige head which fades to a wispy film. No substantial lacing noted. Nose is slightly muted, but noted are pleasant aromas of ripe pear and apple, along with hints of caramel, malt, orange zest, spices and some faint alcohol. Mouthfeel is full, creamy and chewy with a tongue-tingling carbonation. Beautiful complex flavors emerge of cocoa, toffee, caramel, dark wheat bread, fig, brown sugar and a touch of various spices. The alcohol is flavor enhancing and pleasantly warming. Finishes with a moderately firm herbal/hop bitterness which nicely counters the ales sweet characteristics. Very classy.

Gebrand suiker, appel, chocolade en vanille als aroma. Veel komt terug in de smaak, licht kruidig ook. Fijne nasmaak met voortzetting dat kruidig aandoet. Maand overtijd.
