COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Also sold as ’St Feuillien Spéciale’ in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

750. Simple warming belgian. Heaving on the sweetness with some big fisted cardamom and fig. I did not eat much ’earthyness’ as others did. For my December buck I would stick with delirium noel.

Dark fruit flavor with a strange spice taste. Not an easy beer to swallow with its unique bite. Definitely not my favorite mix of malts and fruits in a beverage...

750mL poured into a Tripel Karmeliet chalice. Poured wonderful red brown color with a very soft head leaving good lacing. In the aroma I found caramel, various spices, dark fruit and bread. Has an earthy taste mixed with spice and plum, brown sugar is hidden in there as well. Has a nice alcohol warmth going down the throat. Light to medium carbonation with medium bodied. Excellent holiday, or for that matter any time of the year beer.

330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip. A: Dark ruby, bronzy in colour, looked thick without being opaque, medium slightly tanned head, pretty good head retention. S: Cherry, molasses. T: Fig, prune, brown sugar, some cherry which faded before any sourness could kick in, something made me think of mouse. Kept the booze under wraps. M: Light texture, moderate carbonation. O: Good beer to accompany a heavy meal on a cold day, does what its supposed to.
