COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Also sold as ’St Feuillien Spéciale’ in the USA. This beer has a generous head - compact and firm. Its slightly brown colour is the result of the roasted barley. It has a dark ruby brown colour and a very intense aroma. The aromatic herbs and spices used greatly enhance its delicious smell. This beer is full-bodied with a smoothness that is the result of the synergy of caramelized malts, carefully controlled fermentation and long cold storage. St Feuillien Cuvée de Noël has a very subtle bitterness that is the dominant flavour in this harmonious ale that strikes a perfect balance between all the different ingredients.

This 2005 vintage 750mL is courtesy of Degarth. Pours dirty brown with fizzy tan head. The aroma is big with delicious smelling caramel along with figs, prunes, boysenberry, huckleberry, mild spices and raisins. Impressive aroma. The taste is very similar to the nose with creamy caramel, coriander, fruit like prunes, figs and raisins along with an alcohol note. High yumminess factor with even more caramel into the finish.

Flaska.

33 cL bottle from Beers of Europe into an Affligem glass. Dark brown with a creamy head. Creamy roast, nice crisp taste. Spiced, and a little sweet.

Dark fruit flavor with a strange spice taste. Not an easy beer to swallow with its unique bite. Definitely not my favorite mix of malts and fruits in a beverage...

Bottled. Dark rubi colour with a creamy light beige head with a good duration. Aroma is toasty, candy sugar and chocolate. Flavor has toasted malts notes, moderate sweet, alcoholic, chocolate cookies. The final has a decent alcoholic sensation with good duration. Smooth, creamy and rounded on palate.

Hazy dark ruby color with small light brown foam head. Aroma is heavy barley, but also wheat, hay and grass. Taste is complex, some sweet, but more so yeast, earth, grass. Aftertaste is somewhat bitter. (Velp 201302)

Poured a dark reddish brown with a frothy white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and dark fruits. Medium body, quite carbonated, flavour is spicey dark fruit with a sweet aftertaste.

Bit too boozy. Licorice and aniseed, dark fruits, rum n raisin.22 characters to go. Actually, 22 would be a real triumph.

Hm nice beer. Little like old-fashioned candy with the taste. Strong ale with a rich taste. Love this for the winter.
