UPDATED: JUN 10, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Even with something as rare as Danish writing on the label., wauw - that’s unusual. And I have a sneaking suspicion that this beer is specially manufactured for the Danish market. I can’t find it on the brewery’s website and the Belgians don’t have a big tradition for easter beers. However, none of this changes the fact, that this is an excellent beer. Red-brown/amber colour with a fat, fat brownish, sturdy head. Sweet and full with noticeable hops. And also very spiced. Excellent. 090403

UPDATED: APR 18, 2006 Bottle: Refreshing malty aroma. Chestnut colour, stable light brown head. Flavour has a hint of malt and yeast. A bit thin for its ABV. Draught: Weak sugary aroma. Dark chestnut colour. Thin mouthfeel. Sugary flavour, slightly roasted. Perhaps with some brown sugar.

Bottle. Golden color with bubbly white head. Very sweet tasting, almost too muchso. A nice flavor to hide the alcohol content though.

Bottle, at home. Copper-coloured with large light brown head, long lasting, nice laings. Unfiltered. Aroma of sweet malt and hops. Flavor of brown sugar, resins and a fine bitterness of hops, well balanced. Medium body, oily, lively carbonated.

Above-average, but only just. Pours a dark amber colour with nice head and okay aroma. Taste is neither exciting nor offensive.

2005 vintage. Dark mahogany with fine, lasting head on this bottleconditioned ale. Hoppy aroma with hints of malt and alcohol. The hoppiness is also evident in the flavor along with some caramel . Dry, relatively bitter, finish. Highly carbonated as expected.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2006 I was a bit diappointet by the taste og this one, the aroma is fantastic, and appearence is dilitefull, but the taste is to harsh and sour. maybe a year or two in the cellar will do wonders. And a year or two did it. Much better beer. Fruity aroma still here, and much better flavor, hoppy and fruity.

Red colour with a huge off-white head. Yeasty aroma with notes of spices. Sweet yeasty flavour with spicy notes and a hoppy finish. Not as goos as the other beers from St. Feuillien. I don’t know whether I’ve had a bad bottle, but I think its a boring beer.
