On draught at Apex. Honey and light hops on the aroma. Slight hop taste dominated by sweet taste on finish. Awesome Easter beer.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours hazy golden/amber with a huge frothy off-white head. Aroma of fruity malts, yeast and spice. Taste is light sweet malty, spicy and fruity, fine bitterness towards the end, well balanced, easy drinkable nectar with a fine alcohol warmth lingering on and on.

Pours clear copper with a surprisingly small and quickly diminishing head for a Belgian ale. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, dried fruits, yeast. Taste is quite sweet and spicy as Belgians often are. Sweet, caramel maltiness and dried fruitiness provide the flavours. Palate is disappointingly thin for a Belgian beer, barely medium bodied; I would have hoped for a fuller body. Also the finish doesn’t offer much. Low carbonation, sticky. Flavours are nice but the palate and depth aren’t up to the high standards of this beer style. Not a bad beer but I’ve had better from this brewery.

Strong interesting aroma has medical herbs, strong salty licorice, ripe dark fruits. Really nuanced aroma. Hazy mahogany with reddish notes, short head, minimal lacing. Crisp feel, light body and feel, lots of flavor, hoppiness more evident than in aroma, long herby-fruiti-licoricelike finish, spices also, bit peppery. Interesting flavor-bomb, nuanced and outside-of-the-box kinda beer.

Kaatuu tulppaaniin oranssinruskeana ja hieman sameana, vaahto on lähes kahden sormen paksuinen ja katoaa suht nopeaan. Haju on ennen kaikkea mausteinen ja rusinainen/kuivatun hedelmäinen. Belgihiivaakin löytyy. Maku on huomattavan belgihiivainen, mausteiden tukemana. Kuivattua hedelmää ja marjaakin löytyy hieman. Suutuntuma on hieman hiilihappoinen ja keskitäyteläinen. Perushyvä belgiale, panimolla on kykyä tehdä tällaisia suht hyviä oluita, mutta huippusuoritus puuttuu vielä.
