Pours clear copper with a surprisingly small and quickly diminishing head for a Belgian ale. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, dried fruits, yeast. Taste is quite sweet and spicy as Belgians often are. Sweet, caramel maltiness and dried fruitiness provide the flavours. Palate is disappointingly thin for a Belgian beer, barely medium bodied; I would have hoped for a fuller body. Also the finish doesn’t offer much. Low carbonation, sticky. Flavours are nice but the palate and depth aren’t up to the high standards of this beer style. Not a bad beer but I’ve had better from this brewery.

DWG; Pours cloudy amber to copper with a large creamy, lasting lacing off-white to tan head. Nose is light smoked malt, caramel, yeast and spice. Taste is sweet, light bitter, light to moderate spicy and lasting. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Belgian beer with a yeasty fruity body and some spicyness. Enjoyable, not very memorable.

Good first impression , the taste falls off too fast. A first taste of liquorice and leather.

Honning-noter.

[Bottle (330ml) shared with HogTownHarry & biegaman -- c/o HogTownHarry] Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with a small diminishing frothy off-white head. Nice and fruity aroma along with some spices, caramel malt, some sugary sweetness and toffee. Flavour of yeast, dark fruit, a bit of sugar and caramel malt. Average to medium bodied. This bottle is at least 5 years old and has held up really well.

A nice floral aroma. Flavor is fruity sweet with a sour aftertaste and a dry finish. Color is golden amber with a white head.
