3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 19, 2013
Almost completely clear lovely golden colour with a huge, white, creamy head that after a while starts forming long-lived big bubbles that laces the glass well. A wonderful, strong and crisp aroma with acidic fruits, apple and Belgian yeast, with notes of spices, sweet honey and lemon in the back. The taste is light to moderate sweet with a moderate bitter long-lasting finish. Some of the sweetness lasts into the aftertaste, accompanied by very light acidic hints. Delicious, complex and strong flavours of lightly ripe and acidic fruits, grape, lemon, Belgian yeast, spices ("Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices". Blah blah!), sweet honey and a healthy dose of alcohol. The alcohol is not at all hidden, but it’s clean and a natural part of the flavour profile. Crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. Medium body, oily texture with a moderate dry finish, moderate to lively carbonation. A lovely beer!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mike_77 (1957) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 9, 2013
Pale blond with thin lacy head. Aroma is quite delicate with light citrus and overall sweet fruitiness. Medium to high carbonation. Slightly numbing as if there’s some clove present although it states that it’s not spiced. Generally quite sweet, citric and yeasty.

The beer pours a translucent pale gold colour with a generous white cap that quickly dissipates. Aroma is light fruits, grains, yeast, and citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is yeast, grains, and some light fruits. Quite refreshing for a 9.5% Belgian blonde.

Bottle poured a hazy gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, pineapple, citrus, light yeast, light spice and a hint of banana. Palae was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, citrus, pepper and a hint of vanilla with a crisp dry lingering peppery finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 chris__hartley (162) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 29, 2013
It pours champagne colour and slightly murky (translucent); the head is white and explosively foamy. The aroma has notes of: candy-sugar, slight barnyard funk, lemon-zest, and hay. The taste is light dry that finishes medium sweet; there are notes of: candied lemons, yeastiness, and white-pepper. The palate is medium bodied, heavy carbonation, huge mouth-feel, and a medium finish. Overall, a cute beer.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Hammy78 (613) - Dundas, Ontario, CANADA - APR 28, 2013
Picked up at the Dundurn LCBO. Pour is super active white head that all but disappears completely, body is clear light honey colour with a bit of haze to it. Lace hears ad there. Nose is stereotypically Belgian, sweet and yeasty. Tastes light, light, a touch bitter, dry and has a bit (very slight) metallic finish. I was expecting some sourness, but it disappoints on the angle.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hangunder (97) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 28, 2013
Tart aroma, green apples, belgian yeast. Looks nice, long lasting white head, light yellow and haze coming from the yeast settled at the bottom of the bottle. Taste has sour and sweet notes upfront, spice in the middle and finish and a distinctive taste of belgian yeast throughout. Finish has an interesting sweetness to it, as well as some alcohol coming through and a hint of hops. The slight sourness keeps this one fairly refreshing. Heavily carbonated and medium bodied. Not bad.

330ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden body, huge white fluffy head, good retention and plenty of lacing. Aroma of herbal hops, yeast, grains, peppercorn, lemon. Taste of herbal hops, yeast, grains, pepper, tropical fruits and a touch of honey. Intense carbonation. Lovely.
