COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgiums St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Crus delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

2013/06/26 - Pours a cloudy golden color with a thick, frothy white head that leaves minor lacing. Aroma is citrus, hops and belgian yeast. Taste is similar to nose with a bitter, metallic start and a bubbly, sweet citrus aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium with lots of bubbly carbonation. Not as balanced as I typically like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hoppy start, very long bitter yet fresh fizzy finish. Slightly cloudy golden colour. Beer with a mind of its own.

I cant add too much to the description listed for this beer, its spot on. Especially the part about how the first sip is one taste, and the next is different, and the third even better. Complex beer....

Cloudy yellow colour with airy but unsteady head and medium body. Nose of fresh, ripe hops. Taste of medium bitter, yet aromatic hops, grass, citrus fruits, herbs and light yeast. Flowery finish. Easy to drink, enjoyed it.

Bottle bought around Wavreille, Province Namur and shared with McTapps. Classical belgian with huge carbo, vanilla and sweet hops in the aroma and quite fluffy taste. Is a bit too sweet with a strange aftertaste. Quality beer with nothing special in.

Got this one from my SAQ import group, then realized the LCBO got some in. Best before 28/10/2014. Pours a hazy light golden colour with a frothy white head, good retention and a little foamy lace. Big citrus aromas with some hoppy grass and a little Belgian Ale yeast. No burning at all, really, really smooth. Not sure I am really enjoying the taste though. Some metallic notes with the hops, light fruits and just a tad of sourness in the finish. Get better in the aftertaste, as things balances themselves (apples coming out). A decent Belgian Strong ale, but nothing too special as the taste seems not as well-balanced as most of this style.

Appearance: Hazy pale golden color with a big white head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Mild citric. Light acidic and some yeast.
Palate: Medium body. Mild round sweetness and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Mild sweet wheat ,mild fruity, yeast and some spices. Dangerously well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Fresh and lovely Belgian ale. Absence of spices? Well, I felt it had a pleasant mild spicy profile.
Personal stats: Bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo, Norway.

Bottle @ home.
