COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgium’s St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

Bottle, Blauwe Hand Nijmegen. Hoppy without being too bitter. Fresh and fruity because of the citrus. Has a lemon undertone without tasting of washing up liquid!

Foamy and creamy and with all the blond characteristics with lots of high alcohol notes. Has a bit of a burn though over the citrus.

pours clear bright yellow with a ncie white cap, some retention and lacing. noble hops - lots, floral and skunky saaz, pale blond candi and booze - this mix suggested bretts at first. light buttery phenols, some spices, boozy - kind of apricot or mirabelle eau-de-vie. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily, silky, boozy short but assertive grassy-spicy finish. o-k non spiced belgian brew. still much prefer their spiced ones..

Yellow and cloudy, short-lived big head. Aroma has herbs, honey and fruit. Dry, light bitterness, also some sweetness. Rather lively carbonation. Nice typical Belgian again.

Wow. The full spectrum. Slightly sweet grains, soft fruit, noticeable bitterness, candied sugar, citrus notes. Amazing and complex yet soft and drinkable. Grand Cru is no misnomer.

Nice beer: elegant in both aroma and taste. Maybe a bit too much carbonation. Will drink again though!

11.2oz bottle, from the Dilly Deli, for $5. Shared with b3shine. Date on bottle reads 21/11/13. Totally hazy golden yellow color. Thin, sort of bubbly white head. Couple loose bits of lace. Caramel malt, belgian candy sugar in the nose. Smooth, soft, moderate strength carbonation. Lightly dry finish. More sweet taste, light spice. Hides alcohol decently well, but a little too belgian candy-sugar sweet for me. Alright grand cru. Nothing special. A lot of old hop / malty sweetness.

Bottle to snifter (shared by DrSilverworm). Looks solid; a cloudy gold with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells sweet with notes of Belgian yeast and fruit. Tastes like it smells with a nice, lively mouthfeel. Maybe a touch of clove too. Enjoyable.
