COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgium’s St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

Bottle@home. One finger white foam. Straw yellow slight hazy. God malty nutty aromas compared to the light colour. More crisp than bitter. Delicate.

(33 cl bottle) Yellow colour, hazy, with a white head. Aroma: spicy, fruity (pears?) and yeasty, delicate hops, hints of bubblegum. Taste is light to medium bitterness, light sweetness. Medium to full body. Definitely walks in Duvel’s footsteps, and fills them quite nicely.

Pours to a very light golden colour with a nice white head. The head retention is good. The aroma is fruity and intense. The body is that of a typical Belgian strong ale, thick, slightly sticky and smooth. The taste is bitter-sweet, increasing in bitterness towards the finish. Long and complex hoppy finish.

11.20 oz bottle. Pours hazy urine-ish, lively white head. No lacing. Aroma is malt, spice, banana? Flavor is malty to start, yeast, tangerine at the end. Carbonated, dry, and a little boozy. Good Belgian!

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours clear straw colured with a huge frothy white head. Aroma is light fruity with a yeasty note. Taste is light fruity, with good carbonation level, champagne, apples and spicy, alcohol shines thru at the end, still a good one, I say.

Bottle. Slightly hazy pale straw body with a huge white head. Highly carbonated. Aroma-taste: grainy, with some spicey coriander seed. Sweet herbal taste reveals a significant background bitterness and a firm bitter finish. Light bodied.

Bottled. Poured hazy, paler golden with with a fluffy white head that settled down to a dusting after a while. The aroma picked up warm fruits, cloves, banana, and a touch of honey, with warmth and more spices filling out the back of the nose. The flavor found bready notes, honey, and a little banana at the core, with black pepper, cloves, and floral notes laced throughout.. citrus bitterness joined toward the back.. spicy and well-balanced. Medium-plus bodied and very dry on the palate.. higher carbonation.. solid brew.
