3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle marked 12/05/2014 (young!), my #222 from Belgium. Nose is spicy and floral, lightly citric pale/Pils malt with some bitterness coming, for sure, and a touch of yeast under the strong lemon. Pours clear, very bright yellow with a noisy soapy white head. Taste overburdened with alcohol and warmth, strong spices and lemon and orange in the oily medium body, sweetness is controlled but there’s an artificiality there, and bitterness is absolutely minimal. Was hoping for a little more complexity, though I do like the low-level mixed fruitiness.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 33 cl, at grünerløkka festival. A clear, pale golden beer with a small, dense, white head. Sugary, fruity, lightly alcoholic and pale malty on the nose. Fruity, malty flavour with some faint citrusy hints. Medium body, dryish. Fruity finish with a pleasant bitterness. Pleasant and easy drinkable, but not much grand cru-ish . 120825

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thin head with poor retention. Cloudy golden straw colour.
Alcohol, faint banana, light wheat, and malt on the nose.
Mild carbonation, hints of apple, very astringent and bitter finish. Palate doesn’t live up to the nose. A solid beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2013 A light yellow beer with a big and blond head. Aroma is strongly aromatic and sophisticated, fruits, spicy, some summery flowerfield. Taste is fruitfull, spicy, some black peppers, hint of alcohol, aftertaste is dry and spicy, also some herbal hoppyness. Taste is smoother with yeast, and spicyness is not so attacking. A high-quality, spicy and strong, but still aromatic beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle - 330ml. Cloudy blond body with some yeast chunks and a thin white foamy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with lemon, herbal, and subtle grainy hints. Alcohol is very well hidden. Very well balanced malty/hoppy taste. It carries citrusy, herbal, and yeasty notes. Ends with a long, sharp bitter/herbal finish. Very enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a hazy yellow with a beautifully sustained crystal white head and some lacing. The aroma is a combination of grain, apples and floral notes. The taste is initially sweet and then followed by a floral finish. Theres a hint of citrus in the mix also. The mouthfeel is medium-light with a crisp dry finish. Like one of the other reviewers, this beer is reminicent of a saison. An excellent beer worth having again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2oz bottle from Sam’s, Durham. Decent price with their clearance sale on for sure. Very handsome pour, cloudy straw gold with a big blooming head. Crisp carbonation and a very lively aroma, filled with spice, esters, lovely dry hops, and just a kiss of sweet breadiness. Mouthfeel is playful and tingly, and it brings out all of those flavors well. They blend together nicely too, and the beer is really balanced and drinkable overall: sharp, dry, and grassy, like a moderately kicked up Duvel. Why, oh why can’t this be cheap and come in sixers?
