Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgium’s St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

11.2 oz bottle pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of spice and malts. Taste of the malt, spice and fruit.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with an amazingly high large-grained head. Nose is malic and funky with a touch of corn and honey. Bitter on the front of the tongue, with some sweetness on the center of the palate and finishing long and rich, albeit a little cloying. It’s all right, but I think there’s a bit of hype.

33cL bottle. Gnarly beer. Hazy light yellow, looks like a witbier. Lemony aroma. Fruity, slightly sweet, not bitter. One of my new favorites

This is the big five 0-0, and only a Grand Cru will do. Aroma of sweet spices, yeast and champagne. Hazy yellow with a mountain of pillowy head. Sweet citrusy flavor with lots of bitter zest, especially as it warms on the palate. The slick body is light enough to make you aware of its bite, only just not enough to leave a mark. A good strong Belgian blond.

Bottle from Le Bon Marché, Paris
Hazy blond color; medium sized head. The aroma is quite spicy, but with a hint of fruits. The mouthfeel is very dry, maybe too much carbonated; spicy malt flavor; the bitterness is maybe just a bit too high. Quite true Belgian character, but without real art.

11.2oz bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours deep golden with a thick, lacy, white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, caramel malts with some bread, plus a good amount of floral hops. Flavor the same, but a little too light on the malts. Average texture. Not bad, but could be better.

Bottle sample at a tasting in our place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Hazy pale amber, white head. A little sour in the nose, delicate vinegar. Tastes somewhat sour, light acidic and bleh in general. Medium body, soft carbonation. Ugh.

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a really nice white head. Aroma is yeast, fruit, and a bit of spice. Taste is yeasty and spicy with hint of banana, and a bit of alcohol. Prickly carbonation. Pretty good.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear deep golden. Fruity, yeasty and alcoholic aroma. Sweetish flavor, fruity and yeasty, a bit spicy, with a honey hint and an alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied.
