Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted by Belgium’s St Feuillien Brewery. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body.
Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness.
When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

Bottle from Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville. Lovely light, slightly hazy gold pour with a soft white head. Not as much lacing as expected. Nose is honey, soft fruits, gentle hops... overall a subtle aroma. Taste is quite sweet at first, but ends dry.

Drank with Rik at my place 18-11-2015. Lots of carbonation on the beer, almost a gusher. Taste like a tripel, but with a little more complexity and subtler body.

Bottle from Beer:Shop St Albans. Colour is bright cloudy amber, medium soft creamy foam head. Lovely looking beer. Nose is stunning. Fruity brett yeast, like aged Orval. Fruity yeast, fresh plum, apple, then some crispy meringue like saison yeast notes, caramel, funk, sugar. It’s like saison dupont. Taste is fruity, apple, plum, raisin, fig, date, then some green hoppiness, slight bitter hop tangyness, meringue, crispy saison yeast, funk, grassy, straw. Really really good beer. These Belgians never cease to amaze me.

Corpo pieno, mediamente carbonata.

Pours a very hazy, dark golden yellow color with a two finger, frothy white head that has excellent retention, only slowly fading into a lasting cap/ring. Chunks of soapy lacing left behind. Earthy, surprisingly hop forward aroma with bread, pale malt and Belgian yeast notes. Grassy, floral hops with subtle pine needle character along with peppery spice, biscuit apple and pear. Faint alcohol as well. Smells somewhat like a hoppy witbier. Fuller bodied than expected with tight carbonation and a strong spicy hop bite that lingers over the estery yeast, bread and pale malt notes into a dry finish. Spicy hops up front provide some dry bitterness which is complimented by peppery/clove like spice before biscuit malt, light fruit and alcohol flavors come in toward the finish. Some bread, banana and apple along with some straw and sweet booze, yet the high ABV is well masked. Not the most exciting beer but well balanced, flavorful and easy to drink.

Hazy to clear yellow with a very thin vanishing head. Malty and tyical belgian yeasty, spicy, but without any real character. Very sweet and with a light bitter finish. Medium to light bodied, oily, soft but prickly carbonation. Quite an ordinary belgian ale with added sugar and alcohol.
