COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A summer seasonal Wit beer from the St. Feuillien brewery. La Blanche from St-Feuillien reflects a unique combination of white beer and triple characteristics, thirst-quenching, aroma, high density and bitterness. The colour is slightly blonde with an opaque, cloudy appearance. Its head is creamy, white and compact. It has a distinctive aroma of wheat beer with a delicate note of orange peel. The body shows a contrasted blend of light bitterness which become more and more intense and the wheat beer thirst-quenching characteristic. This beer has an impressive lingering taste.

On tap at the Yard House, Houston. It’s an unclear yellow-golden beer with a small off-white head. It’s quite butterscotchy on the nose, with canned fruits, pale malts, coriander and some orange peel. Medium body, a bit hard carbonation, quite dry on the palate. Mostly fruity flavor, with a little bitterness, orange peel and some spiced hints. Rather short finish. Luckily the butterscotch isn’t as evident in the flavor as in the aroma. Still a pretty boring one. 140516

Draft. Poured hazy amber orange color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeast, spice and sweet citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet spice finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Tap at Paradiso Dupont. The pour is cloudy, full hazy bright yellow with pineapple sorbet translucency and glow. Medium, meringue head. Nose is heavy floral with white grapefruit along with sweet vanilla. As it warms, more complexities like fresh cotton, lemon zest, grapefruit peel. Taste is melon sorbet, cantaloupe, pineapple, lemon. Palate is ultra soft and sorbet in feeling. Immensely drinkable with no water, soap, or chalkiness. White pepper is not too prominent. Wow- what an awesome beer.

Draught at Delaneys. How am I the first person to rate this one? Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Smells of ginger, coriander, peppery, perfumy. Tastes of ginger, some sweet wheat, peppery, some citrussy splashes. Grassy finish.

Draft at 33. Pours a pale, cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of dry malts, bread, wheat, mild spice, minerals, and banana. Flavor of straw, cereal, mild spice, wheat, lemon citrus, dough, and banana. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, bready mouthfeel. Not a whole lot to say about it, but nice.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at Tilia. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Wheat, ripened banana (maybe banana bread), and just a hint of spice. Decent, not great.
