omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 12, 2007 Draught at Belgobaren, Stockholm. Clear dark amber, small head. Aroma of cinnamon and orange peels. Rather dry with clean mouthfeel. Grainy malt creates a medium body, and there are light notes of almonds and raspberries. A well balanced, fairly complex beer.
Nik925 (136), California, USA Sep 6, 2008 Mmmmm, Easter. Mild bananaclove. Solid, yet a bit conservative. The aroma is noteworthy for its cleanness, but this one was a bit lost due to its mildness after having much larger beers all night. Mild goodness!
Brewed in Belgium for export to Denmark, ends up in Oakland CA...??? DrBayern (954), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Jul 31, 2008 On draft at Monk’s Cafe on 7/23/2008.
Aroma - Figs and dates, some type of spice that I can’t pin down, maybe anise seed, and some nice herbal notes.
Ruby brown in a tulip glass , spare light beige head, with so-so lace.
Flavor - Very good balance with caramel up front and a spicy bitterness close behind, but not overwhelming the excellent malt character.
Palate - Medium to full body, light carbonation, smooth, and a very soft, dry palate.
Overall - Pleasant, easy drinking, and went down well at the end of a wonderful meal. Mogwai (186), Askeby, Denmark Jul 9, 2008 Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear golden / amber colour with long lasting off-white head. Aroma is hops, yeast, citrus and spices. Flavor is again citrus, but also a bit "darker" with caramel, dark sugar and hops , giving it a slightly bitter finish. I am not too fond of Easter beers, but this one is ok. Pinball (432), Allerød, Denmark May 31, 2008 bottle at globen, kbh. aroma smelled like cognac, could be too old. was also served way too hot. below the aged taste sensations were some good stuff. i’ll probably re-rate when i find another bottle somewhere. uhre (236), Denmark May 24, 2008 It pours a nic copper colour with a huge head! The aroma has yeast and perhaps some spicies. The flavor is also full of yeast and some spicies, which I cannot name.
