St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Faint aroma, highly carbonated, orange color with a foam that keeps high. Citrus flavors, very carbonated, very Duvel like. Great beer.

Delft 14-10-2015 Bijzonder bier! In eerste instantie vond ik hem tegenvallen. Schuimkraag verdwijnt snel, weinig uitstralend etiket, weinig geur. Maar hij is toch vrij uniek. Vrij vlakke smaak maar prikkelt lekker in de mond en heeft een fijne, bittere nasmaak.

Smells like a golden blonde, with pale malt dominating the nose. Pours from a keystone light appearing can. Little in the way of barhouse flavors. Underwhelming.

Blonde paille, carbo moyenne, collet moyen persistant. Aromes fleuris, poivré, légèrement orange amère. Bon equilibre etre secheresse et douceure et finale longue sur les fruits et les fleurs. Une saison bien agreable a boire

33cl bottle@house in Spa in tulip glass@approx 6 degrees C. Pours very lively, a bit of a gusher if you are not careful, with large white head on a hazy yellow brew. Good retention. Great aroma of malt, citrus, orange peel, grain, spices and a little grass and yeast. A lot going on in this complex beer, but in good balance, which becomes even better in the taste. This is on the dry side, but not without sweetness and with a stronger reflection of the aroma with the addition of dried fruits and a hint of liquorice (the latter actually listed as an ingredient I noticed afterwards). The liveliness leaves a good mouthfeel with a slick texture and a balanced taste that lingers. As good as I remembered it from some years back. Great stuff!

From a 33ml Red Bull shaped can, which also reads "dry hopping" on it. Super well-made floral, crisp, soft, lemony saison. Mild and easy-going. Really like the mouthfeel on this, it’s soft, lasting, bubbly, soapy and almost Champagne-like. Metallic, with a leafy finish. Herbal, grainy, dry cracked wheat notes. Quality stuff.

330ml bottle, LCBO, Toronto. This was a gusher even though I let it sit and settle on the coffee table before I uncapped it and tried to pour it. The initial foam was thick with large off white brownish bubbles. They disipated to a lacing ring around the glass quickly. Citrus, Florida orange, light straw aromas with upfront notes of stone fruit and some dried apricot flavor. There are hints of spicy sweetness and the taste lingers in the mouth like a sugary glaze.
