COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

From cervezasespeciales. In Teku glass. Playing Millenium 2. Medium gushing. Not unpleasant but more towards the dull side in taste and aroma. BB Jan 2017. The label says its a hoppy saison but dont find it specially hoppy at all.

Bottle 33cl. @local Jumbo supermarket. Poured into a tumbler. Hazy medium golden, two finger frothy off-white head, diminishing slowly, good lacing; aroma pale malts, yeast, light citrusy, coriander, lemon grass; taste is medium sweet and bitter, malty, yeasty, fruity, spicy notes, with long duration, herbal touch in the dry bitter finish; medium body, oily to creamy texture, average carbonation; very nice Saison.

Bottle. Hazy gold, with well retained off white head. Candy sugar aromas, biscuit malt and spice. The sweetness is prominent throughout with an almost cloying finish. Interesting spice notes, biscuit notes and Belgian yeast. Nice flavours but far too sweet for me. Ok with a hunk of blue cheese. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Donkergeel bier met veel schuim wat helaas snel wegzakt. Smaak is licht zuur en hoppig bitter, kruidig, ananas en citrus.

Can. Very surprised this isn’t rated. Nose a little funk, herbs, floral, summer fruits, lemon, bread, lots of banana, slight vanilla. Taste is beady, lemon, grassy, herbal hops, lots of banana, and toffee and light spice and pepper in the finish. Mouthfeel is light and pleasantly carbonated. It’s a really decent Saison. St Feullien seem to specialise in good but never outstanding beers. There is surely no shame in that.

Aroma of orange, spices and yeast. Taste is much the same. Dry and thin body. Had this one before also, and I’m still thinks this isnt among the best Saisons.
