St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Bottle (750 ml). Thanks Vincent for sharing this one! Hazy yellow with a small white head, no lacing. Aroma of Saison yeast, candie sugar, malt and fruits. Taste of candie sugar, malt, spices and hints of fruits. Mouthfeel is moderately dry. Medium body. Pretty straightforward Saison.

2012: Slightly cloudy golden with good foam and a lot of carbonation. Good spicy and distinct hoppy flavor. Light creamy.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2012 Bronze colour with a big white head. Aroma of flora, grass and some belgian yeast. Fresh and a very appealing taste of grass, hay and some banana at the end. Some hops in the aftertaste. A very good and refreshing beer, the best saison I’ve tasted so far!

Orange to bronze. Lots of white head. Yeast, banana and actually some alcohol aroma. Quite bitter. Some sourness. Good, but not my favourite style I guess.

Yellow with a big head. Light aroma of malt. More malt on the taste. Pretty nice, not that interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Gold pour with frothy white head. Signature st-feuillen yeast aroma, grain not really saison smelling in general quite unique. Taste is yeasty, grainy, almost wheaty. Palate is silky and smooth, medium carbonation.

Pretty good saison. Mild and hoppy with genuine Belgian yeast taste finishing. Very easy and smooth to drink. I finished a whole bottle without even notices it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild Esters, some floral notes, but nothing spicy as expected. High carbonation keeps it refreshing.

On tap: Not as full bodied as expected. Floral in flavor, smooth finish. Would get again, but wasn't in love with it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer appears golden yellow, with a light haziness to it. The head measures in at around 1/2", and leaves ample lacing behind. The aroma brings citrus, floral notes, grasses, as well as some herbal notes. A good example of the style, this brew offers citrus and spice flavors, with subtle grassy, funky flavors. Alcohol presence emerges somewhat in the finish. The beer is a bit on the sweet end of the spectrum for the style, whereas I would prefer more funky, grassy, yeasty character. The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a solid beer. I’d have it again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-17-2011
