St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

11.2 oz can. The beer pours to a golden body with a white head. Aroma is candi sugar, a light dank basement, and subtle hops. The flavor has significantly more hops. Sweet candi sugar, banana, and sweet breads. A dry bitter grassy hop. Yeasts. The palate is rather sweet for a saison. If they dried it out, this would be a much better beer.

From the can. Really nice mouthful of dry hops, sweet, with a not overpowering Belgian yeast on the finish. Clean, crisp, and refreshing.

Vieze bruine kleur. Goede volle schuimkraag. Ruikt fruitig en hoppig. Verder weinig geur. Smaakt moet zo goed. Iets fruitig Verder nare bittere smaak.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2013 Pours a golden beer with a good white head. Smells pretty sweet. Tastes oke. Nice fruity and fresh. Bit banana and lemon. Good average carbo with a thin to medium body. Bit dry and sticky texture.

Draft to tulip. Looks good; a hazy orange with foamy off-white head that dissipates into sticky lacing. Smells and tastes solid; spicy and yeasty with some refreshing citrus notes. Nice and refreshing on the palate. A good saison.

Draft - gold with white head. Nose is citrus and fruity. Decent. 5oz was not enough.

11.2 oz can purchased at Four Firkins and poured into a Moeder Lambic glass. Beautiful initial pour with a fast dwindling head. Aromatic nose leaning heavily on spice. Perfect lead into its taste with emphasis placed on spicy overtures. For me, this was slightly underwhelming. Primarily falls short towards the finish of the beer. Little to no mouthfeel and not much in the way of lingering flavor. Judging this harsher than most based on St. Feuillien’s previous offerings but overall a little but of a let down.

Can. Drank out of glass. Orange, with white head that didn’t last long. Floral, yeast aroma. Initial spicy and floral, also slight tang and sour. Smooth, yeast finish that is very nice. Not exactly what I expected, but really enjoyed it.
