COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Gold, only slightly hazy and a very good head. Very light taste and not a lot of spice for a Saison. It’s still very good and would be a good intro Saison.

Pours barely hazy, light golden color, with a nice fluffy white, lasting head. Nice earthy hop in the nose; yeasty. Well conditioned; a pleasant, carbonic bite. Medium light body. Long hoppy finish, very refreshing. Overall a great saison; must be an excellent summer quencher!

In bottle at home. Pours a golden colour with a thick white head. Heavy carbonation and a lively CO2 stream. Aroma of lemon, sandalwood and peaches. Similar lemon and peach flavours with a butterscotch malt backbone. Nice chewy mouth-feel and quite bitter. A very nice saison.

Explosion! Pour is a straw with a large white head. Aroma is grassy hops with some pale malt and a little funk. Flavor is hoppy with some melon, barnyard funk and citrus. Finish is sweet with some of that funk left on the tounge as this goes down. Pretty good saison too bad have of it ended on my kitchen floor.

75cl bottle from Alko. BBE 13/07/13. Poured hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly sour, light spicy, orange and coriander. Flavor is yeast, sweet tropical fruits and light sourness in the long and quite dry finish. Lovely smooth palate. Very tasty!

Bottle, 750 ml: Hazy golden beer with a frothy, but dimishing white head. Citrusy, spicy aroma with notes of coriander, ginger, barnyard, yeast, some malty caramel and a little tartness. Taste is similar, only light sweet, medium bitter and less tart than the aroma suggests. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation and a long, very dry, astringent bitter finish.

Pours a slightly hazy golden orange, with a soft and billowy head. The aroma is yeasty, floral, orange, and a little bit of Brett funk. Light to medium bodied with high carbonation. Malty sweet up front, with plenty of juicy orange and yeasty funky layers, the finish is sweet / tart, nicely balanced, with a bit of hop presence. Nice saison - complex and layered yet drinkable and refreshing.
