St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Faint hint of banana, fruity aroma. Not very hoppy compared to other saisons. Dry but with a sweet finish. Nice head on it - w emmy

Amber, clear, very well carbonated with a head that just kept regenerating; fresh aroma of malt, hay and fumey alcohol; flavour is sweetish malt and citrus fruit tang with some yeasty notes, but that doesn’t do it justice - it’s just super fresh and alive, a bit like perfectly conditioned cask beer; very moreish and reminiscent of the Flack Manor Flack Catcher that I’ve previously rated so highly; this has brightened up a drab Monday no end

Hazy yellow colour. Bitter and dry. Notes of herbs and hops. But a little bit too sweet for a saison.

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2013 33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. My first saison. Hazy orange yellow with a white head. Fruity yeasty aroma with some citrus. slighty tart taste with some considerable hopbitterness. Lively carbonation and a long satisfying aftertaste. If this is typical of the saison style I have to find some others, great beer.

750----> super tulip. Pours cloudy light orange with a massive head that never goes away and leaves thick patchy lace. Aroma is slightly spicy yeast, lemon, and banana. Has a slight barnyard taste with citrus and earth notes. Palate is quite dry with less fizz than the pour would indicate. Very nice saison.

Nice amber color with short lived towering head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is grass, hay and butterscotch. Easily drinkable....

Bottle. Pours a dark honey-hued hazy body with a large foamy white head. Aroma is dry citric fruity tones, saison yeast, pale malts and hints of light candy sugars, hay and pears. Taste is floral yeasty tones, hay, bitter grass notes, saison yeast and hints of pepper and citric peel. Dry and sharp. Body is crisp and dry, yet somewhat full at the same time. A solid saison on the dry side of things.

Cloudy orange color, sweet malty taste, thin-to-no head. Belgian fruity yeast aroma, but I expect more spicy than fruity yeast.
