St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Great beer to start the night with. Lovely orange colour. Smells fresh, a bit like fruit. Taste is good. Only 6,5% abv, so if you want to enjoy this one you will have to start with it.

20110602 Oirschot (tap): A darker yellow, somewhat cloudy beer with a thin white head. A malty aroma with not to fresh hopsmell (belong to this type of beers). Yellow fruit and flowers. The taste is somewhat sweet with a sour character (citrus-like) with in the finish also hopbitterness and some malty. The taste was not that fresh, what we could aspected by a saison.

from tap. very nice easy drinkable beer, murky gold-copper, no foam, but leaves a nice lacing. fruity, citrussy beer aroma, slighlty sour-ish and a tad bitter. long aftertaste. too bad it was served way too cold (~3-5 C)

Golden copper with a large bubbly white head that leaves nice lacing as it fades. Aroma is of yeast and fruit; apples, musty basement, lemons, flowers, caramel. The taste is very yeasty at first with the farmhouse and basement flavors coming through and ends with light fruits and some citrus.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2012 Hazy golden beer, fluffy off-white head. Aroma of yeast, quite malty with a good nose of hops. Rather spicy. Flavour is sweet malty, rather bitter, dry, yeast and hops spiciness. Very dry and rather astringent finish. Nice.
(from bottle @ Café Jos, Nijmegen)

Update 23 April 2012: Draught version Very similar to the bottled version, still quite bitter, but with some biscuit in the nose.
