St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Yellow with a big head. Light aroma of malt. More malt on the taste. Pretty nice, not that interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Gold pour with frothy white head. Signature st-feuillen yeast aroma, grain not really saison smelling in general quite unique. Taste is yeasty, grainy, almost wheaty. Palate is silky and smooth, medium carbonation.

Pretty good saison. Mild and hoppy with genuine Belgian yeast taste finishing. Very easy and smooth to drink. I finished a whole bottle without even notices it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild Esters, some floral notes, but nothing spicy as expected. High carbonation keeps it refreshing.

On tap: Not as full bodied as expected. Floral in flavor, smooth finish. Would get again, but wasn't in love with it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer appears golden yellow, with a light haziness to it. The head measures in at around 1/2", and leaves ample lacing behind. The aroma brings citrus, floral notes, grasses, as well as some herbal notes. A good example of the style, this brew offers citrus and spice flavors, with subtle grassy, funky flavors. Alcohol presence emerges somewhat in the finish. The beer is a bit on the sweet end of the spectrum for the style, whereas I would prefer more funky, grassy, yeasty character. The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a solid beer. I’d have it again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-17-2011

25cl Bottle: best before 15 June 2013, poured into a Westmalle chalice during Aug 2012. Slight haze to my golden/orange pour: off-white crown of thin bubbles. Fruit esters hit the nose, followed by yeast, malt molasses and some mixed spices: interesting. The taste is a lovely blend of flavours too: expected some farm yard feel to it and wasn’t disappointed, this had character in buckets. Malts, yeast and hops all vied for position and combined to produce a well balanced and flavoursome beer that I’ll be re-visiting again and again.

Bottle. Hazy golden orange color with a foamy white head. Aroma is spices, malt and some fruitiness. Flavor is slightly bitter with spices, malt, citrus and fruits. Light to medium body, slightly bitter aftertaste.

Light aromas has fresh citrus and pine, herbs, floral notes. I found also some tallow (not sure it is right word) which was bit strange. Still a good aroma. Bit hazy light amber color is beautiful. Good frothy white head is medium long. Looks good. In taste the malting is more evident compared to aroma, light, soft, low carbonation, bit sweet, long taste. Good one.

Delicate hopped saison. Fresh hoppy notes herbal, grass. Yellow coloured hazy and with a white head, medium duration. Delicate flavor too, reveals more hops, grass. Creamy, dry texture. Soft carbonation.
