COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

From a can, heck yeah.
Appearance: The body is slightly hazy with a light amber hue, the head is short with average retention, settling into a thin coating.
Aroma: The aroma leans a bit fruity of citrus, perhaps from the hops, with a slight floral and spiciness to this. Decent aroma, though lacking in strength.
Taste: Slightly fruity throughout, perhaps hints of banana, with sweet malts and subtle spice throughout. Nicely balanced and easy to drink.
Palate: Medium bodied, soft carbonation.
Overall: This is a decent saison, balanced nicely, though it’s a bit weak compared to the better ones.

Bottle from Yamaichi. Good, light funk, some peach and some dirty notes. Very hazy honey color, nice big fat-bubbled head. Light sweet fruitiness / mid jumps with tang and carbonation and nicely-placed hops / finishes lightly dry. Very pleasant. Maybe a touch too sweet.

From the can. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium foamy white head that dissipates steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, earthy yeast and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of fruity yeast, doughy malt and mildly bitter floral hops. The finish is fruity with an herbal, yeasty aftertaste. Pretty good Saison overall.

From a 11 oz can. Aroma of just plain good lager beer, fresh and interesting. Nice head, some haze in an otherwise oale looking brew. Taste is failrly light. Rather light for a saison, but there is this mild to medium bitter background building in the back of the throat. Does not seem like near 7% on the palate. Comes across mild mannered for the alky contnet. As session continues, develops abit of that farmy sensation on th olfactory and taste buds. Good co2. Yes, finishes off with a mild to medium astringent bitterness on the back of the throat.
