St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang.Judge for yourself. 750s and 20L kegs only. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

Bottle at home. Pours a medium orange with effervescent, quickly dissipating head - no lacing. Aroma is flowers and fruit, very light. Taste is fruity, some spice, light tang. Super light on the palate - very good beer for a warm day.

From notes. Tasted some time near the summer of 2012 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle. Pours hazy light orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to average, rocky lace. The nose is dry, spicy yeast, lemon peel, and some dry bread malt. The flavor is super dry, a lot of lemon and orange peel, and the same dry bread malt. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long spicy yeast finish. This is a very good, classic, dry saison.

Keg, 330 ml on tap at il Maltese. Rich dark orange, quite hazy, with a small, creamy and persistent off white head. Spicy and estery notes above all, quite intense but could be more clean. Also light cereals, rye bread and a hint of alchool as well. Pretty sweet and sirupy, oily and sticky, slightly toasted and nutty, just before a rough and not too persistent bitterness. No alchool taste at all, contrary to the aroma. A bit more rustic and on style in the aftertaste, even though there are definitely some tripel characteristics. Overall a bit rough. Average carbonation, medium body, slightly creamy texture. Far from my favourite saisons, but not bad.

Bread, grass, fruits and some spices in the aroma. Golden with a white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a average carbonation. Overall a great saison, refreshing and with a nice fruity flavor.

Mocno nasycone. Slodowe aromaty z wyczuwalna przyprawowoscia, zwlaszcza pieprzem, troche banana, troche gumy balonowej. Smak analogiczny, pieprz mocniejszy, na jezyku pozostaje nieco goryczki. Pelne. Bardzo dobre.

11.2 oz can poured into St. Feuillien chalice. Great belgian yeast aroma with very slight fruit note to it. Nice orange gold color with a nice fluffy white head that dissipates rapidly but leaves a nice, long lasting ring. Flavor is amazingly smooth, with a watery mouthfeel. Great finish to it as well. Highly recommended.

The beer pours a hazed metallic gold with a 1" white bubbly head. The aroma is funky yeast, light citrus, and grassy. The mouthfeel is light bodied, and quite champagny. The flavour is yeast, honey, and citrus up front and a graininess in back.
