Commercial Description:
This beer has a white, smooth and very compact head. Its pale amber colour is very characteristic revealing a distinctive maltiness. It has a rich aroma with a unique combination of aromatic hops, spices and the typical bouquet of fermentation - very fruity. Secondary fermentation in the bottle gives it a unique aroma due to the presence of yeast. St Feuillien Triple has a very strong and exceptionally lingering taste thanks to its density and its long storage period.

Cloudy straw yellow with a slight hint of orange. Lightly spicy with hints of cinnamon, spiky citrus. Flavor is surprisingly subdued; thin, quavering malt, breadiness, light banana and clove. Finishes with moderate bitterness and wet grain, softness, lemon rind.

Received as a gift set with two other St. Feuillien’s brewfrom a non beer geek friend. Thanks Dave! Poured from bottle. Color was pale gold with frothy white head. Sweet aroma of spoiled fruit. Taste was banana and oranges with some spice on the finish. Very drinkable and delightful. Alcohol is very well hidden...

Pours a beautiful gold with a modest head that dissipated too quickly leaving a cap of foam. Moderate fruity smell to go with the complexity of the rest of the Belgian thing. Taste is awesome, can’t point to one thing; but very smooth. Haven’t had a lot of Tripels, but this is the best. Alcohol is well concealed, making this very sneaky drinkable. Nice blend of hops, and malt; fruit somewhere around peach and orange. Feels full and creamy in the mouth. I like this much better than the Chimay I tried.

Bottle. Yeasty, Belgian spicey aromas. Fruits, including banana. Darkish golden color with a finely bubbled white head. Medium body with creamy/fizzy carbonation. The flavor starts fruity, and banana is present. Seems to have clove. There are a lot of things here. The finish is somewhat astringent, and the spices and hop (floral?) leave the mouth tingling. It is just really good ale.

750mL cork and caged bottle poured into chalice. Wonderful golden color with a pillowy white head that retreated and left a solid lacing. Yeasty, clove, banana, and other spices make up the aroma. Taste has a fruitiness to it with banana and clove, very good, almost perfectly put together. Average carbonation and medium to full body. Very drinkable, not one I would have very often, but is great when I do have it.

Bottle, 33 cl. Taste this beer for the 4th time. Hazy golden to orange color, with white head. Aroma bit spice, fruity, hops. Medium body. Taste is complex, notes of pepper, malts, hops, good bitterness, bit dry end. Very nice tripel.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Golden orange colour with brief, white head. Malty, fruity nose with mellow, but distinct, notes of orange and apricots, lots of orange peel. Fruity, fiery taste with notes of orange, apricots and spices with a soft, pleasant fire burning through a warming finish. Lovely balance, very nice beer. Essentially what a triple should be like.
