Plenty of spices, yeastiness, quite pungent, but rather complex and enjoyable. Very dry finish, after a little sweety warming and a bit prickly palate. Balanced. Powerful. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Bottle: Pours a hazy deep golden topped by a dense, white, frothy head. The aroma has some nice sweet Belgian malts, sweet and spicy simultaneously. Honey-ish, with a date like fruitiness. Lively, rich mouth feel. Has a nice Belgian malt profile, giving it a solid body. Flavor is honey-ish, figgy, yeasty, and has a sweet nutty character as well, with a balancing spiciness. The finish has an ideal amount of bitterness to make this treat highly quaff-able. A rich, and very appetizing Tripel. jobyone (234), Charlotte, USA

Medium creamy carbonated body. WabashMan (801), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
