Commercial Description:
This beer has a white, smooth and very compact head. Its pale amber colour is very characteristic revealing a distinctive maltiness. It has a rich aroma with a unique combination of aromatic hops, spices and the typical bouquet of fermentation - very fruity. Secondary fermentation in the bottle gives it a unique aroma due to the presence of yeast. St Feuillien Triple has a very strong and exceptionally lingering taste thanks to its density and its long storage period.

33 cl bottle in (wet, rinsed) Westmalle glass. Pours bright golden color with lasting white head. Mild aroma of Lemon Poppyseed Cliff Bar. Mild sweet fruity start with awesome spicy dry finish. Medium body, medium-high carbonation. Really excellent. One of the better triples IMHO.

Poured a hazy soft amber with a thick creamy off white head. The aroma was sweet, definitely belgian, a tad sour, not as much spice as I would have liked. the flavor was dry, a bit spicy, slight belgian taste, sweet. The palate was dry and musty. A pretty good tripel but nothing extraordinary.

33cL bottle. Surpisingly complex tripel. Good carbonation with a hazy straw color. Perfect amount of fruity sweetness than is not overpowering.

Tap at Barley John’s. Golden and somewhat milky appearance. Crisp and sweet green apple aroma. Hints of almond crème frosting and a sharp tequila accent this at times. Apples also dominate the taste with a tart, slightly sugary affectation. Mild suggestions of sweet pistachios and cashews temper it a bit, but for the most part the green fruit is the single dimension. Palate lacks spark and dials in somewhat outside of the style – bored, slick, and a bit heavy. It’s lost some of its life. Slightly trite, but a reasonable quencher.
