rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 16, 2007 Pours very frothy. has a sweet aroma but very bland. Appearance is a nice golden brown. Mouthfeel is nice with a light aftertaste. Flavor is nice and malty. A very nice but average for a belgian tripple. pforei (338), USA Mar 12, 2007 750 Bottle. Snifter Glass. Nice golden color with big off white head. Aroma of sweet honey, yeast, and a little spice. Taste is less fruity (mainly orange) than advertised but with sweet malt and spice. Finnish is both acidic and mildly sweet. The alcohol is well hidden. Well balanced albeit less complex than some of the top triples. smartlung (154), Valrico, Florida, USA Mar 10, 2007 Bottle from World of Beer Clearwater - virtually no head w/carbination - hoppy - floral spices - eventually smooth on the palate - not bad but not my favorite Braudog (3732), Dayton, Ohio, USA Mar 5, 2007 From a bottle at Bon Vivant - Suffolk. Clear and golden with almost no haziness, although I’d have expected some. Solid light fizzy head. Acidic and an almost vinegary aroma. Smoother palate than the aroma suggested ... sharply bitter at first ... buttery and tight. Almost like a Witbier spiked with ethanol. (#2731, 3/3/2007) Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Mar 4, 2007 75 cl. bottle. Amber, nice head and lacing. the aroma has notes of coriander and fruit. The flavour is complex with notes of alcohol, fermented apple and a nice citrus to balance the sweetness. It’s nice, but I prefer Maredsous, Triple Karmeliet or Westmalle. joergen (8429), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 25, 2007 Bottle.
Hazy golden coloured with a huge white head.
Aroma of fruits and spices with notes of yest and hops.
Flavour of fruits, spices and hops with notes of yeast.
Dry hoppy and yeasty finish. harmfuldrunk (288), New Jersey, USA Feb 24, 2007 thick head very crisp taste well carbination very fine triple easy drinking beer due to the floral aroma and all. i fucks wit this beer right here. cathcacr (585), Portland, Oregon, USA Feb 23, 2007 For a Tripel, it’s quite standard, which makes it plenty good for me. I overrate this style by a good half-point or so on average, so the RateBeer average is about right on this.
