Aroma was of light fruits and spices. Flavor was the same little tartness and yeast to it. SOlid beer. nice triple" illinismitty (1790), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jun 13, 2006 Draft at Coles in Buffalo, NY alongside IPFreely and Rudolph. Poured golden with a nice white creamy head. Aroma of yeast, fruity esters, and some alcohol. Nice clean medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Flavor was sweet, fruity, with notes of lemon. Mild bitter and spicy finish. Very easy to drink, but I was rather buzzed when I had this. I think this was the beer that gave me the hangover and caused me to sleep in my clothes. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jun 12, 2006 Updated: Aug 7, 2007750 bottle. TomDecapolis (3127), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 8, 2006 On tap at Ortinos Northside. Pours a hazy golden orange with a smaller white head that left minimal lacing. Aroma of spices, orange and yeast. Flavor of yeast, citrus, clove, banana, peppery and various other spices. Quevillon (1516), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Jun 4, 2006 Post-mondial Tasting. Belle blonde, bon collet qui dure. Arome d’épice sucré plaisant. Goût trop faible pour un triple. beerbiere (101), Montréal, Quebec, Canada May 25, 2006 Clear golden brew. Nice head, lots of laces. Strong aroma of orange, some pepper in the nose as well as an herb I cannot identifiy (coriander?). Extremely well balanced. To my opinion, its main interest is you can never tell wether it is more sweet or bitter. Flavor is of citrus and powdered sugar (sucre en poudre) and a bitterness of orange peels. Round mouthfeel, easildy drinkable. Very nice tripel. Glouglouburp (2778), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 23, 2006 Updated: Jul 7, 2009In short: A tasty and crisp tripel with an intense dry noble hopping. One of the best tripel out there. Underrated.
How: Bottle 750ml/330 many times. This re-write for a fresh (about 6 months) 750ml bottle.
The look: Partly cloudy golden body topped by medium white head leaving good lacing
In long: Nose is fruity, grassy and spicy. A rather complex taste. Main attractions are the fruity yeast (not focussing on any particular fruit), nice mix of spices (again with a lot more than just the usual coriander) and a whole lot of dry noble hops. Just citrusy enough to give it a pleasant refreshing tartness. Body feels full rich and crisp at the same time. Finish is very sharp (almost aggressive) and dry. With some age on it the finish becomes less sharp/dry and the fruity flavours take more room. I prefer fresh. 9% abv very well hidden. One of the best Tripel out there. I buy these this beer in large quanitities. Even bought a full 24 not so long ago. And when it’s all gone it leaves a hole in my heart almost as big as the one in my wallet.
