COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a white, smooth and very compact head. Its pale amber colour is very characteristic revealing a distinctive maltiness. It has a rich aroma with a unique combination of aromatic hops, spices and the typical bouquet of fermentation - very fruity. Secondary fermentation in the bottle gives it a unique aroma due to the presence of yeast. St Feuillien Triple has a very strong and exceptionally lingering taste thanks to its density and its long storage period.

Een troebel, goudblonde tripel. Smaak is wat droog, aroma heeft wat van noten.

(Bottle 75cl.) Pours golden with a white long lasting head. Fruity soft bready aroma. Flavour has same characteristics, relatively sweet. Nice tripel

New Beer Distributors, NY 33cl ($5.25): Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is honey, yeast, coriander, and a bunch more spices. Taste is somewhat sweet, perhaps more than I would have liked. Has a dry slightly hoppy finish. Mild aftertaste. A good, but not a great, tripel.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2013 This beer is OK, but why such a high ranking? This is just an ordinary triple. Blond colour, white foam. Sweet and bitter. Malty and a bit mettalic. Also a bit soapy. Nothing special.

Pours a small creamy white head that mostly diminishes. Body is hazy yellow, sparkles are visible. Arima contains light bread, lemon, orange zest, dough, banana, grape, raisin, (sweet) apple, coriander and vanilla. Flavor starts off light acidic, to be joined by light sweet (mostly fruits) and light bitter. Body is medium to full, carbonation somewhere between soft and lively. Texture is creamy. This beer has a soft feel ( not harsh) and is balanced, subtle and fruity. Alcohol is well hidden. It's the way I like my tripel.

Pours a cloudy light orange. Aromas of lemon, coriander and yeast. Taste is similar plus some spice. Nice and smooth (creamy). Alcohol well integrated. Overall, a very well balanced, excellent tripel.

September 2010. From bottle. Aromas of yeast, malt, bread and dried fruit. A little sweet on the finish.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2013 Very good for a tripel. I get sweet malts, bread, dark fruit, and some raisin. Pretty good. Thanks to Chudwick for the sampler.

330ml bottle. A light straw gold with fluffy white head and great retention. Smells lemony, bready and yeasty but no particular stand-out notes. Tastes packs all that in plus spicier notes of clove. Very nice tripel that sticks closely to the rulebook but does very little wrong.

Bottle into Trappist glass. Looks great with a hazy bright orange body and and a thick rocky white head that lasts and laces nicely. I get strong orangey aromas along with grainy malts and grassy/spicy hops. Taste is similar to the nose with fruity elements and a soft spicy dry hop finish plus alcohol. Low bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel and carbonation. A top quality Tripel.

The Tripel itself pours just like you’d expect. Cloudy light orange with a fluffy and creamy white head. Inviting aroma of lemon, coriander, and yeast. Very aggressive and spicy hops come up first. A punch from the carbonation, too. This initial kick gives way to the familiar banana and yeast of a tripel. Some of the best lacing I’ve ever seen. Lingering and dry finish. Perhaps not the most amazing Tripel I’ve had, but it’s quite good.
