Commercial Description:
This beer has a white, smooth and very compact head. Its pale amber colour is very characteristic revealing a distinctive maltiness. It has a rich aroma with a unique combination of aromatic hops, spices and the typical bouquet of fermentation - very fruity. Secondary fermentation in the bottle gives it a unique aroma due to the presence of yeast. St Feuillien Triple has a very strong and exceptionally lingering taste thanks to its density and its long storage period.

Deep golden body with a big, sticky foam that bonds to the glass. Non-stop stream of bubbles. Aroma of alcohol, honey, apples, pears, flowers. Beautiful. mediom full body with a soft effervescents. Flavor of alcohol, candied sugars, pale malts. Quite an enjoyable beer.

Hazy orange pour with a white head. Slight spice aroma along with citrus. Light fruit flavors of grape and apple, alcohol is present. Not much in way of aftertaste.

750mL cork and caged bottle poured into chalice. Wonderful golden color with a pillowy white head that retreated and left a solid lacing. Yeasty, clove, banana, and other spices make up the aroma. Taste has a fruitiness to it with banana and clove, very good, almost perfectly put together. Average carbonation and medium to full body. Very drinkable, not one I would have very often, but is great when I do have it.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden amber. Nose of candied sugars and Belgian yeasts. Creamy mouthful leads to a smooth and nicely flavored beer. this is Easy drinker with an unnoticeable 8.5% abv. A classic triple with fruity and nutty notes, with a touch of sour on warming. Nice dry finish.

Magnum bottle(s). Huge lasting white head, little cloudy appearance. Plenty of spices, yeastiness, quite pungent, but rather complex and enjoyable. Very dry finish, after a little sweety warming and a bit prickly palate. Balanced. Powerful. Dangerous.

Bottle. Pours bright golden orange with a big white lasting head. Aroma has strong notes of honey, caramel and lemony citrus as well as a fair amount of yeast. Flavour is similar but also a bit spicy, with honeycomb, cinnamon, coriander and a hint of tropical fruit. Very pleasant tripel, with the alcohol well integrated, and a smooth, silky mouthfeel.

Very powerful flower-hoppy, peppery-yeasty aroma even at a cold temperature. Interesting "conventional" light golden color - from a distance could pass for a light pale ale. Thick head with lacing so strong the lip marks actually stay on the glass! Flavor somewhat bland but with some intense fruity gushes, and a sweet-and-sour complexity going down. Like so many excellent Belgians the afterglow is the highlight of the brew - intensely bitter with grapefruit and slight raisin tinges ... and needless to say enough intense beerburp carbonation to cure even the worst indigestion. [Slight revision 09/11/2004: subtracted 1 point in Overall because the yeast element is slightly overprominent in the carbonation.]
