This beer has a white, smooth and very compact head. Its pale amber colour is very characteristic revealing a distinctive maltiness. It has a rich aroma with a unique combination of aromatic hops, spices and the typical bouquet of fermentation - very fruity. Secondary fermentation in the bottle gives it a unique aroma due to the presence of yeast. St Feuillien Triple has a very strong and exceptionally lingering taste thanks to its density and its long storage period.

Pours a bright gold with a white frothy head that leaves heavy sticky lace on the glass. Once a bit of the yeast hit the pour, it immediately changed to a less attractive, murky tannish-amber. The nose is of sweet apple, candy sugar and pear over a light pale malt note. Medium-bodied with soft, fine carbonation leading to a drying, almost tannic, finish. The flavor is of pear, mild apple cider and a touch of cardboard over pale malt. One of the fruitiest tripels I’ve ever had, I may have held on to this one a touch too long, but I’ll definitely buy this one again to sample it a bit younger. Good stuff.

0,33 l bottle from drinks-of-the-world.de, 7/1/2016. Clear, golden yellow with a huge (little gusher), foamy, almost stable, white head. Pleasant, fruity-yeasty aroma of banana, citrus, vanilla, peach, pear and coriander. Sweetish, fruity-yeasty taste of banana, citrus, vanilla, clove and peach, followed by a medium long, yeasty-peppery finish with some hops. Medium body, effervescent and creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Solid tripel, lacking a bit of intensity. Quite drinkable despite its striking finish. Not outstanding, though.

pours clear yellow colour with a huge frothy white head and a nice lacing. interesting fresh hoppy and fruity aroma. anise, washing liquid. flowery spicy flavour, coriander. sweetish but not cloyingly sweet. 8.5% alcohol is very well hidden.

Pajiza brillante con dos dedos de espuma poco consistente. Peor aspecto que otras tripel. Olor agradable, a anis.

Mousse bien. Saveurs d’ agrumes, fruits jaunes et levure. On sent du pain d’épices à l’arrière goût. Texture épaisse. Carbonatation fine. Longue en bouche. Une très bonne triple.

Pours hazy pale gold with two fingers of fluffy white head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is coriander, banana, lemon zest, Belgian yeast, honey. (8/10) Taste is moderate sweet, mild bitter. (8/10) Medium to light bodied, prickly carbonation, dry crisp finish. (4/5) Another really good abbey triple, complete with the with nice Belgian character and crisp dry mouthfeel I look for. Hard to clearly prefer this over the Corsendonk I tried earlier tonight, but it definitely has a more pronounced ABV - which is not necessarily a negative. And under €2 at a corner grocery store. I think I need to live in Belgium for a bit… (16/20)
