This beer has a white, smooth and very compact head. Its pale amber colour is very characteristic revealing a distinctive maltiness. It has a rich aroma with a unique combination of aromatic hops, spices and the typical bouquet of fermentation - very fruity. Secondary fermentation in the bottle gives it a unique aroma due to the presence of yeast. St Feuillien Triple has a very strong and exceptionally lingering taste thanks to its density and its long storage period.

Pours a bright gold with a white frothy head that leaves heavy sticky lace on the glass. Once a bit of the yeast hit the pour, it immediately changed to a less attractive, murky tannish-amber. The nose is of sweet apple, candy sugar and pear over a light pale malt note. Medium-bodied with soft, fine carbonation leading to a drying, almost tannic, finish. The flavor is of pear, mild apple cider and a touch of cardboard over pale malt. One of the fruitiest tripels I’ve ever had, I may have held on to this one a touch too long, but I’ll definitely buy this one again to sample it a bit younger. Good stuff.

Served in a Teku glass from a 330ml bottle. Pours clear golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is grass, bread, yeast, banana. Taste is bread and sour dough. Medium body with lively carbonation. Pleasant enough but nothing really special about this one despite the ratings. Personally I would not seek this beer to try and re-live the experience as to me it tastes just like a run-of-the-mill typical Belgium Abbey style beer with no special character or taste, just a very ordinary Abbey Ale.

hazy pale yellow colour, large dense off-white head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of fruits (pear, apple, maybe peach, too), hints of coriander and grainy-bready notes; taste is also intensively fruity, malty, slightly peppery with coriander notes and some bitterness; dry mouthfeel; great tripel

Aroma is sulphur, clove, cereal, lemongrass, caramel and candy sugar. Taste is tart, sweet malts, plum, raisins, and figs. Finishes with some tartiness that isn’t overwhelming. Appearance is a hazy gold with a medium fluffy head that retains quite well.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with big thin white head. Aromas of fruity malt and some spices. Heavy carbonation with a nice body. Taste is first fresh and then bitter. Alcohol is present and mixed with fruity notes and hops. Abbey Tripel is probarly not my favorite style though.
