Bottle, 12oz. A lightly hazy one, dark golden in color, topped by a finger-thick off-white head leaving lacings. Weak aroma with some light caramel maltyness and some grassy, piney hops. The flavor has the same problem, lacking on most things good in an IPA. Nice bitterness though. Medium to full body. Quite dry. Lasting bitter finish with few other flavors. Not all bad of course, but I find it way too boring for an IPA. 130809

Picked this up at City Beer in SF. Didnít know about the brewery but this beer really surprised me. Loads of fruit punch, mango and a nice hit of bitterness. And a good intro to the actual Saint.

Draft. Copper pour, small beige head, little retention/lace. Aroma of citrus, floral, pine hop, toast, caramel. Taste is moderately bitter, malty, grapefruit, pine, toast, caramel. Palate is average carbonation, oily, bitter finish. A bit too malty for me.
