4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Agreeing with Ughsmash, I have never had a Weiss beer that had such a huge banana and clove taste. Almost like bubblegum. But not sweet and cloying.

Tap at brewery. Yellow pour with white head. Smells of yeast and fruit. Nice smooth, refreshing weiss. My wife is not a weiss fan and she enjoyed this one.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at St. Francis. Super hazy yellow, almost light green-tan. Thin, creamy white head. Pronounced clove, candy banana aroma. Yeast forward, as to style. Lots of fresh banana tones. Light to medium bodied, quite a pleasant example of the style. A nice clove bitterness in the aftertaste...grassy spearmint. Spot on, great example.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a light head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has notes of earthy wheat and banana with a bit of backing clove. Flavor begins with banana and clove but is quickly taken over by earthy wheat notes.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
An okay beer. It is spicy and bubblegummy. There is a hint of diacetyl and raw grain.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the St Francis Brewery & Restaurant. Cloudy banana yellow with a thin off-white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast and some banana and spices. Bubblegum leads the way on this hefe. Wheat, banana and dough follow up, almost tasted like a banana nut bread. Not bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at St. Francis. Poured hazy medium-golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma was very sweet with bananas all over the place.. touches of clove and vanilla.. like candy. The flavor found sweet bananas and lesser honey and vanilla at the core with dry, clovey spices around.. dries out toward the back and lets the spices/yeast shine.. a touch of cinnamon on the back.. well-balanced. Medium-bodied with a thicker feel (partially from carbonation).. candied and tasty.
