Got this is a trade with ksurkin. Thanks again. Smell malty and wet cloth like. Pours a honey gold brown. Nice white head. Tight. Definite hop bite on the front and ending of the brew. Malty sweetness in the middle gives me great pleasure. nice cabonation. Solid beer. I think I enjoy a little more malty brown ales than this more American version but still great.

Bottle pour into shaker. Typical nut brown color for a brown ale. The taste was not as typical with a nice hoppiness added to the nuttiness. A decent beer.

Nice dark brown body. Aroma was a little metallic. Nutty, very similar to their porter but without the chocolaty taste.

Pours an almost opaque brown with a medium light tan head that lowers down but persists. Little lacing. Sweet caramel and toasted malt aromas balanced by a moderately bitter grass and resinous hops. Hint of raisins and tobacco in the finish. Moderate carbonation, medium body. Bitter finish. Not what I would expect in a classic brown ale, but good nonetheless.

12 oz bottle. Looks a dark brown when in the glass but the pour contains a lot of red color. Head nearly nonexistent. Mocha/malt nose with a hint of nut. Spicy, malty body. Nutty, wood flavor as well. Aftertaste is bitter. A decent offering but not the brewery’s best.

Nice hop character to this beer, but I was surprised by the malt present in the taste. Very rich, a unique brew to say the least. Something about it was slightly off, but I enjoyed it none-the-less.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 dpento1 (236) - Virginia, USA - JUL 29, 2010
Pours an amber brown with a moderate tan head. The aroma is roasted malts, nuts, and maybe a little fruit. The body was moderate and little creamy! The flavor is a bit nutty, malty, a little woodsy, and there are some sweet malts right before a mild hop bitter finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 GreenDragon (219) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2005
This beer pours with a small light brown head on a deep brown body with a walnut like aroma on malts. Nice walnut flavour with a deep bitter finish on a medium body.

Bottle: By far the better of the trail pack so far. Poured a dark brown with a thin off white head. Aroma is enough chocolate to cover the alcohol. Taste is really smooth with a slight bitter choclate aftertaste.
