1st Beer in my random tasting evening of 12 Aug 2011. The brown 33cl bottle (best before 11/2011) was poured into a ’Paderborner Pilsner’ badged stemmed flute. Regular lager look, clean, clear, light golden body, crowned with a snowy white head of bubbles, the head left some good lacing on the flute. Sadly it went down hill somewhat after the initial pour and stare. The smell was of wet cardboard, some dried cut grass and rotting grains. The taste wasn’t there, it was bland and boring, even by ’mass produced’ lager/pilsner standards. This is my second beer from this brewery and most likely my last. Usual lager spritzy carbonisation, but being tasteless it was just like a fizzy thirst quenching watery pop rather than a refreshing beer.

330ml bottle poured a pale straw color with a small white head and almost no lacing. Aroma is cheap grains and hops. Light malty sweetness with an unpleasant hop bitterness that lingers. Light body and little carbonation. No good.

Slight bready aroma on the nose, drank from the bottle but it looks like any pale lager. Flavour is light maltiness with a semi-dry finish. Drinkable and okay.

A halfway decent lager with that unique Ethiopian sweetness to it. Always get the Ethiopian beer at the Ethiopian restaurants.

330ml Bottle. Golden with white head. Malty aroma and taste, some corn , a bit grainy. Your typical average lager for any country.

Sampled out of a bottle. Pale golden beer with a loose, white bubbles for a head. Light sweet grain nose. Standard macro lager taste with some corny sweetness, a faint metallic note, and a hint of something bitter in the finish. I expected worse, but this is still something best left to the Ethiopian restaurants.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2015 Tasted from bottle into standard pint glass at Ethiopian restaurant. Poured a clear straw color with creamy white foam, somewhat lasting with a little lace. Predictable mass-produced light lager aromas and flavors. Fine, better than most American adjunct versions, but nothing memorable. I will say it definitely goes great with spicy African food, though.

11oz bottle. clear white with small white head. incredibly pale nose. flavor is also pale, light. dry finish. really fluffy and light like cottonballs. hint of sprite. cool dragon slayer label. lighter, crisper, snappier and more refreshing than most of the american macros.

Putrid corny pale macro lager. Clear golden. Slight white wispy head. Aromas of corn, grass. Cooked vegetables. Finishes lightly sweet and sicckly vegetal.
