Pours a clear golden color, topped with white head. Soon only a small white cover is left. The basic malty and grainy aroma is easy to pick up, slightly skunky as well. The taste is light and watery, slightly sweet. No real bitterness in the finish. No aftertase. Actually, no taste at all.

I had this beer in Bahir Dar when the water where I was staying had typhoid. It was delicious. I have since had it in the United States at an Ethiopian restaurant, and it wasn’t as good as it was in Bahir Dar. I would love to have it again.

330ml bottle @ the Sixth Shrewsbury Bottle Share, June 14, courtesy of me. Picked this up from an Ethiopian restaurant in London. Middle of the road lager, nothing mind-blowing although perfectly drinkable. Bought more for the novelty. Would have again.

Bottle (330 ml). Shared by JulienHuxley as part of the George tasting. Clear yellow/golden with a small white head and little lacing. Aroma is of corn, herbal notes and light sweetness. Taste is almost the same... it tasty like a Pale Lager country tick. Light to medium body. Moderate/medium carbonation. More drinkable than the other George (Mikkeller) we had tonight. Not offensive.

Bottle as part of the George tasting. Clear pale gold pour with thin white head. Aroma is grainy, smells like a country tick, light honey, dusty hop. Taste is sweet, malty, not much hop at all. Palate is light, light carbonation, could use a bit more carb. Not a bad country tick.

Clear pale yellow color with a frothy white head that keeps a nice lacing until the end. Aroma is malty, yeasty, bready and some cereal notes. Flavor is quite dry and sweet, hints of paper. Low carbonation and a light body with a dry watery finish.

330ml bottle. Served as cold as possible. Pours an extremely light blonde. The smell is light, subtle grains, water, and fruit. Taste is slightly fruity, some heavy water notes, some booze notes, perhaps some brett. It is not well-constructed.
