I had this beer in Bahir Dar when the water where I was staying had typhoid. It was delicious. I have since had it in the United States at an Ethiopian restaurant, and it wasn’t as good as it was in Bahir Dar. I would love to have it again.

Huge white head. Clear golden colour. Fruity bitter aroma. Pleasant taste. Spicy palate. Good one!

330 ml bottle. This beer is mild and not very flavour intensive. But it’s still good, very enjoyable

12oz bottle. Pale, filtered, dull tanned-yellow color. Patchy, thin, frothy head retains itself rather well. Doughy inoffensive non-aroma. Not bad, maybe a little conservative on the hops, but otherwise a pretty standard European Lager, which probably tastes that much better in Ethiopia. Sugary, but light enough on the palate, with a simple zesty hop balance. Surprisingly OK.

Poured a pale yellow with aromas of grain and malt. Flavors followed suit, malt and grain, decent in the heat, had this at Animal Kingdom.

Bottle. Golden beer with a strongish frothy head. The aroma is gently malty, and the flavour is nicely dry witth a hint of yeast. Overall a reasonable lager.

A halfway decent lager with that unique Ethiopian sweetness to it. Always get the Ethiopian beer at the Ethiopian restaurants.

Slight bready aroma on the nose, drank from the bottle but it looks like any pale lager. Flavour is light maltiness with a semi-dry finish. Drinkable and okay.

Tasted 10/31/09. 33oml bottle. Filtered with a pale golden hue. Spotty white head. Typical cereal aromas. Light to medium bodied with a bright effervescence and a very crisp palate. Big effervescence with cereal notes and a touch of vanilla sweetness. Finishes crisp with a mild bite. Not too bad, but I preferred the Meta.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. Thanks for this one!!! Ha. The best thing about this beer is the appearance, crystal clear and pretty, I kind of enjoy looking up at the bubbles from below, but the aroma is underwhelming, and the palate gets watery quickly and the taste is not awesome.
