COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. George Fall Bock is our offering of an non-traditional seasonal beer. This Autumn warmer, based on our brewmaster’s favorite styles of German beers, couples the dominate malt character and full-bodied base needed to support a higher-alcohol Bock Beer. True to style, we use only noble German hops for perfectly balanced bitterness and a medium hop aroma. A unique lager yeast and a centuries old conditioning process result in an especially smooth, but STRONG (and not surprisingly) amber colored lager with a fine creamy head.

Fresh bottle picked up from the brewery. Pours a nice clear copper color with a small white head and slight lacing. Light aroma of chalk dust, sweeter malt and a hint of citrus. Really a well balanced and mellow flavor. No real strong alcohol notes that sometimes pop-up in this style.

(Sample Date: 11/2/2009 Source:Other) 12 oz bottle 2007 stow away at back of fridge. Deep maltiness and bready aroma. Clear dark golden with small tan head. Malt and caramel with some bready and nutty notes. Hop flavor is very subdued. Finish is clean dry and lightly spicy.

Serving: Draft. Appearance:Light amber orange color with a white, foamy head. Okay head retention. Aroma: Light nose with notes of sweet malt, honey, and caramel. Flavor: On the sweet side with lots of malt, honey, caramel, a little butter, and some light fruit notes. Pretty solid back bitterness. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium-rich mouthfeel and long, bitter finish. Overall: A pretty tasty bock that is smooth and satisfying.

Pours a mostly translucent amber with golden notes and a medium creamy off white head with large bubbles that laced. Aroma of sweet grainy malts, dark fruits, toffee, nuts and green apple. Flavor of hard pretzel, sweet malts, raisins, nuts and toffee.

<b>Draft. </b> Got WASTED on this a few weeks ago. Easy drinker, mild carbonation. Faint tan head clings. Pretty deep orange/brown. Sweet, almost buttery. Satisfying.

12 ounce bottle from Once Upon a Vine Macarthur in Richmond. Pours a reddish amber with a medium head. Nice head retention and lacing. Caramel, corn and grass in the aroma. Taste is caramel and citrus hops. Medium bodied. Very nice.

Pours orange with a fine, white head. Caramel, honey, citrus aroma. Moderate mouth feel with a hoppy backdrop. Caramel, honey, and fruity flavors appear. Very good.

Amber colored and clear with a thin white head. The nose is big and malty up front with some hints of pear. Sweet caramel flavor. Very sticky. Some faint hints of light fruit and toffee. Medium carbonation. Good mouthfeel.
