Bottle. Pours clear orange with frothy white head, quickly dissipating. Impressive nose of sweet honey with flowers and hops. Flavors are hoppy but with heavy maple syrup, brown sugar and caramel. Hops grow through finish. Interesting take on the style, but flavors are unbalanced -– sweetness almost syrupy, before giving way to thin hoppiness. Tasty but a little wet for an IPA.

Malt, hops and some spice aroma. Golden in color with a good head. Mild malt with a good bitterness. Good beer.

Keg at Commercial. The pours amber, small head. Nose is pretty earthy. Some dirty grass, tobacco, baked apple, bread. Taste is toasty malt, brown sugar, caramel. Old fruit leather, grain. Medium body, soft carbonation. Not ideal.

Maybe the bottle was spoiled, but this is the most overly effervescent beer I've ever drank. While I suspect here are some good flavors in there somewhere, they're hidden in some extreme bubbles ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Served at the American Bar, GBBF 2013, third day. One-third pint, gravicask. Cloudy orange coloured body. Loose white head. Herbal hops on the nose joined by a touch of honey. Blended flavour profile of orange hops and caramel malts. Smooth hop bitter ending. Medium bodied.Nice interpretation of the style (London Olympia 15.08.2013)

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’13, 15/08/13 as ’St Georges English Style IPA’. Cheers to Joris for the pour. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is fruit forward, toasted malts, orange, citrus tones. Taste comprises orange pith, light mango strains, sugar, subtle hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dryish finish. Ok drinkable stuff.

From cask. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is peachy and greasy grapefruity. Bitter, crisp hoppy and light toasted malty. Mango and passion fruity, medium dry and malt is clearly there to balance the hops. Bitter and toasted malty finish.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2014 Poured as a 2 oz sampler at Virginia Beer Live 2013. Citrus (grapefruit) smell and taste. 2nd try at Blacksburg Taphouse. Very hoppy with more pine resin than last time. Malt backbone in there, but otherwise not too complex. Lasting finish.

Decent IPA needs a bit more alcohol and hops to really stand out amongst everything out now a days
