COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. George India Pale Ale is a traditional English style ale with a distinct hop spiciness from imported 100% UK Fuggles hops. Poor, very poor. I drank a Stone IPA, then a homebrewed wheat beer, and then this. I don't know if I can finish the drink. A thick, foul malt. There's a bit of hop, jumping about, but it's the malt that kills the beer. Thoroughly unpleasant. It sticks in your sinus, cloyingly, and tastes skunked, but by design. Displays perfectly the difference between a good beer and a mediocre -- no, awful -- beer. To those who define this 'English,' I've just come back from England and not come close to a beer so frightful. Drink this and drink newky brown with a hop flower.

Maybe the bottle was spoiled, but this is the most overly effervescent beer I've ever drank. While I suspect here are some good flavors in there somewhere, they're hidden in some extreme bubbles ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’13, 15/08/13 as ’St Georges English Style IPA’. Cheers to Joris for the pour. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is fruit forward, toasted malts, orange, citrus tones. Taste comprises orange pith, light mango strains, sugar, subtle hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dryish finish. Ok drinkable stuff.

From cask. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is peachy and greasy grapefruity. Bitter, crisp hoppy and light toasted malty. Mango and passion fruity, medium dry and malt is clearly there to balance the hops. Bitter and toasted malty finish.
