COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. George Lager is a sublime balance of subtle maltiness and lingering noble hoppiness. Based on a style of lager called Bavarian Helles, it is pale straw blond in color, but surprisingly full bodied and exhibiting only a low level of hops bitterness or aroma. Only the finest of traditional German Malt and Hops are used in this beer, which create the most delicate beer imaginable.

(12 oz. bottle) Clear golden body, with white medium head that quickly dissipated. Citrus and grass/straw aroma. Mild hoppiness with crisp, refreshing taste. Clean finish.

Bottle. Slightly sweet malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Slightly sweet lemon and malt flavor with moderate hops finish. Moderate acidity and light carbonation. Stylewise, very nice.

hopscotch (7288) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 16, 2006
Bottle... Mostly clear, golden lager with a small, fizzy, white head. Citrusy, grainy aroma of lemon zest and biscuit. Crisp, well-balanced flavor; grassy, gently peppery and breadsy. Light-bodied and fizzy. Crisp, clean finish. Refreshing.

Bottle. Clear yellow pour with 1/4" head that diminished fast. Hoppy crisp aroma. Full body, but low flavor. Not too bad, pretty much typical commercial lager.

Nothing distinctive about the lager. More of a full body; more than I would like with a taste like this. Not offensive but there is a lot of bitterness, bread, and heaviness that just isn’t worth it during the haul. However, worth a once over.

KingpinIPA (841) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 27, 2006
Clear yellow color. Smell of malt, hops and Asti champoine. Taste of malt, barley, honey and hops. Hint of ginger with a dry bitterness at the end.

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a frothy white head. The aroma is a bit of musky hops over some straw malt. Slightly sweet body with just enough bitterness for balance makes this one go down very easily.

Large foamy head, hangs around the top of this golden yellow brew. Floral, grassy aroma with some notes of pear. Very mellow hoppy, orange flavor. Not bad, not great. Just beer.
