COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. George Pilsner is a clean, crisp lager based on our brew master’s extensive brewing experience in northern Germany. A centuries-old conditioning process and a unique lager yeast require a much longer processing time than our standard ales and result in an exceptionally smooth beer. Traditional 2 Row Pale and Munich Malts along with noble German Hops ensure a well-balanced, pale golden lager with a fine creamy head. Prost!

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2007 Nice golden pour. Taste hits your mouth immediately and screams pilsner. Quickly fades though, so not a bad aftertaste. Taste is slightly sweet. Not bad.

Pours mirky yellow with a tiny head. Aroma is sweet and somewhat caramel. Flavor is like a watery a nut brown ale, very sweet for a pilsner.

One of the better Pilsner’s I’ve sampled. From the brewer’s six mix pack, this Pilsner doesn’t offend the olfactory but neither entices it. Noble taste, solid palate, hefty finish. This brew is stout throughout.

Bottle. No head at all and what was there died almost instantly. Almost no aroma at all, I really can’t smell anything. Very carbonated and dry. Not too much in the way of flavor either, wasn’t bad though. Can’t say I’m impressed.

Golden color with tons of carbonation. Smell of hop, some wheat and honey. Taste of malt and hops. Dry biterness at the end. Very carbonated. Not that good of a beer here.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2006 A light golden brew with small diminishing foamy white head. Aroma is fruity, pear. Smells lightly hoppy, medium body, flavor finishes clean with a smooth aftertaste.

Cloudy gold with a smaller white head. A bit of grassy, peppery hops. Malt lacks the dryness of a true pilsner.

12oz. bottle. Aroma is primarily grassy and hoppy, along with some hay-like and lightly floral notes, peppery spice and crackery malts detected in the background. Medium-dark golden color, lightly hazy, with a fine, lasting, off-white head. Flavor is predominantly hoppy with many different hop characteristics noticeable at one point or another, at turns spicy, herbal, green, leafy, grassy, peppery, citric and flowery, not to mention the bitterness that is present throughout. Malts are present here in a light, grainy manner, faintly biscuity and dry. Finish is quite crisp and clean. As it warms, a certain malty sweetness lingers very late. Mouthfeel is lightly acidic and fairly refreshing, body is light-medium. Certainly a better than average pilsner, mostly due to the balance towards the hoppy side of the equation.
