3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle shared by Andy- thanks again, Andy! He’s our local St. George hookup. Pours a dark, deep brown- not really opaque, with a small tan ring for a head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, black olives, earth, and molasses. The flavor is sweeter than the nose, with caramel and roasted malts, molasses, raisins, toasted brown sugar, and a little earthiness. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. No alcohol present. Good imperial stout.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bomber from a trade with DoctorB2B, Thanks! Poured into a snifter. Pours black with about 2 fingers of frothy dark tan head. Aroma of coffee, brown sugar and roasty malt. Taste is light bitter and very lightly sweet. Coffee and brown sugar. Medium-full bodied with a thick and creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long brown sugar finish. Overall, this beer is great. I would love to age one of these and try it again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer was quite good. This beer pours nice with a good 3 finger head. The aroma has a brilliant chocolate and molasses thing going on with it. The taste was very nice. It offers chocolate, malt, and a nice sweet taste. The body was creamy and not as thick as I was expecting. The finish was average, malty, and smooth. The ABV was hidden very well. Pretty good for a local beer. Good winter beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bomber split with the Madison crew. Smooth chocolate tones, maybe a hint of licorice. Excellent, quite drinkable. Some oily burnt roast. Subdued, mellow carbonation. Some eastern European feels, light pungency. Interesting, not overbearing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from jcos, 12/24/11, as St George Russian Imperial Stout
Aroma: The nose is roasty and sweet, some chocolate, caramel, and a little dark fruit
Appearance: It pours a dark brown-black color with fairly foamy brown head and decent lacing
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet, roasty, with notes of chocolate and caramel, mild-to-mid bitterness
Palate: The body is medium (average for the style), with a smooth, creamy feel, and a soft carbonation
I put more then a few months of age on this one, but it seemed to hold up pretty well. Thanks, Justin, this was a rather solid RIS. It seemed to be on-style to me. They hit on fairly well at what they were attempting to do here. I would drink this one again.

Black. Very heavily roasted malt, and some soy sauce. Medium palate, but very light flavors and aromas. Disappointing.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fresh bottle from the brewery. Gorgeous dark pour with a huge, bubbly brown head. Big aroma of molasses, pecans and dark, brown sugar; reminds me of flavored oatmeal. Really pleasant flavor too. Starts a little sweet and then finishes with some bitterness. Full mouthfeel. I was honestly surprised how nice this was; complete surprise.

Thanks to Skyview for this. A nice dark body with a faint layer of brown head. A very sweet aroma with lots of soy. The body is light as well. Very light, nothing really intense; just light.
