jake65 (1185), Meridian, Idaho, USA Jun 21, 2008 Bottle: Thick, dark brown (near black) pour with a small, creamy brown head. Heavy roast and chocolate flavors permeate the air. Coffee and molasses as well. The flavor is a smooth blend of chocolate and roast. Light amount of coffee. Very creamy, yet the high ABV is detectable. Thanks to The_Epeist for this trade item - a winter stout enjoyed in June! pnista (863), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jun 14, 2008 Thanks for sharing Yaniv! Dark dark brown to black with a thin tan film of a head. Round soft lightly smoky nose. Light chocolate roast. Full, but dry. Creamy lower carbonation with decent viscosity. Lightly sweet chocolate. Smoke, alcohol and a bit of fruity roast. Lingering roast in the aftertaste. I don’t know if this is big enough to be imperial, but it’s not a bad beer at all. Butters (278), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 9, 2008 Pours a near black with dark brown head. Lots of chocolate nose and roasty taste. Alcohol warming in the belly but not the mouth. Very velvety mouthfeel, bittersweet finish. Really good stout. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA May 25, 2008 Date: 05/12/2008
