Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, toasted - caramel, light roasted, brown sugar notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, caramelized malt, burnt malt - caramel, sweet malt, malty, caramel, light alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish is light alcoholic. [20120211]

From tap Ølbaren. Pours clear and golden brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is breadish and dark roasted malty. Sweet caramelish, light fruity and toasted breadish malty. Bitter, toasted and almost breadish malty finish.

Bottled (thanks Timo A). Deep copper colour, small whiite head. Aroma is quite sweet raisins, some herbal and sweetmalts Flavour is fruits, grass and and some caramel. Rather sweet but not all sugary.

Bottle from Bierzwerg.de. Pours dark ruby amber with a small creamy head. Nose is nuts, caramel, fruit and bread. Fruity dry flavor with caramel, nuts and bread upfront. Really dry and slightly dusty finish. Medium bodied.

Draught at Ølbaren. Clear brown - offwhite head. Bread. Ryebread. Nutty. Light sweetness. Light acid notes. Caramel. Not fresh fresh but ok.

Dark brown color, small beige head. Toasted, woody aroma. Medium-bodied. Dark malty, chocolaty, toasted malts. Light grassy bitterness and some alcohol. Smooth and balanced.

Pours deep chestnut with red edges. Lovely, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has rye bread, caramel, light vinious. Lowish carbonation, creamy and light fat mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet and vinious, caramel, light toasted, rye bread, softly vinious. Mild sugary caramel finish with some roasted bitter notes.

clear brown, smooth large light brown head. caramelly nutty dry malty aroma. Flavor is dry malty, sweet but not too sweet from malts. Slightly flowery solid bitter hoppy balance (not american) great doppelbock.

Draught. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. DArk red-amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Some caramellic notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Intense malt aroma and flavor with caramel and maple syrup. Sweet. Hint of licorice. Sticky mouthfeel. Typical fat malty doppelbock.
